Cool stuff...

 

When I was little, there were no computers. Well, none that *I* could use.

 

Today I have 5 laying around my computer room, only 2 being used. The other 3 are obsolete. I'm keeping them to show the grandkids.

 

"Come sit on Grandpa's knee and let me show you this memory chip from 1999...32 megabytes! Of course, the implant chip in your body has ten trillion that much memory, but this was what we had back in the day..."

Yeah I can still remember when are family was one of the first around the community to have a computer. It was just before the Apple or Commodore 64's came out. I remember ours had to be hooked up to a TV it had a keyboard and a seperate disk drive. Granted this was in Panama where everything such as movies etc get there like 6 months after the US gets them. The part that really amazes me is about the fiber optics and how it is growing exponentially.
