Yes GrimGreg that is just for you, it's even lifted with springs for you. You made me look like an idiot at my cousins garage when I asked him to check muffler bearings. Only to get laughed at by all the mofo friends in there..then i finally got it, there is no such thing. Thanks bro :(

For those that are done laughing at me, are the stock chrome rims (like the ones on trailchasers pathy) are better than procomp rockcrawler rims (the ones that look like cragar8s)? I ordered them, along with a new set of bfg ATs (thanks guys), but a couple of local dweebs told me the stock rims might be better than those, even though they havent seen them.

In a nutshell, could someone explain this 'backspacing' stuff? I ordered the ones that are 3.75 I think. I have no idea wtf that is.

Please dont tell me to 'change the backspacing fluid', this noob is already catching on a bit...

oh my friggin god.

you two are hurting my brain.

Natura, if you cant find info here about backspacing, google it, there are plenty of sites that will explain what it is, and how it is measured. However there are likely quite a few threads here that will give you some info.

Ok, I see how it is. Its typical to crush the noob, again my question about backspacing and if stock chrome rims are better than the low priced rockcrawler wheels arent in that thread. Anyway guys, thanks a lot. I have to find a super noobie 4x4 forum.

Take care and merry christmas.

LMAO!!!!

Nat you get the Golden Noob Award!!!!!

Back Spacing on the WD21's for a 8" wide rim should be around 4" click the Cragar Link in my sig for the ones im running. Less than 4" they really stick out, more than 4" and they will rub in the fenderwells, frame ect...

There is a video floating around here somewhere of a Pathy bottoming out the front suspension and mashing his fenderwells up...(im off and searching for it) I believe that was with 3" BS...

Hope that answers your question for now...

Please feel free in the future to :stickwack: GG all you want.....

LOL.....Naturatek....relax bud..... It's a good goof....but not the end of the world... :aok:

And don't worry, learn from your mistakes, and you won't get the :stickwack: NEARLY as much as redfinder does.

redfinder: It has nothing to do with ego. It has to do with you irritating pretty well every last member of this forum, while, at the same time, giving us, as previously mentioned, a whipping boy!.

ahh...you smell that? oh nvm, it's yozsi. Anyway, could you unpin this? This thread don't make sense to be pinned. Yes I do search sometimes. but some threads are old and since then there are new members maybe a new revamped view on the topic... so why not keep things working fresh on somethings?

nothing wrong with keeping things fresh.. i think you made a few people's days on here.. me too. that's fresh for sure. :D :D

anyway, you may bump up any old thread that may relate to your situation and you maybe didn't get the whole answer.. backspacing. 4x4 shifting.. :deadhorse:

keep on though.. don't discourage.. this place is the nicest out there on the www.

That was me. 32" BFG A/T's on 15x8 rims with 3.75" backspacing and, at the time, a 2.5" suspension lift. Usually not a problem unless you launch the front end three feet in the air. Another inch or so either way (body lift, more backspacing or less tire) and it prolly would've been ok.
