Brake problems

So this morning when i woke up and went out to warm up my ride it was freaking freezing, as i drove to work i noticed that the park brake light was constantly on, it would only turn off when i would pull up to a stop and stop completely. I didnt notice any change in braking distance but im kinda worried that there maybe something wrong with the break system. Ohh and i dont park with the park brake on so there is no way that it could have frozen to the drum. Also it was the only light that was on

Checked your brake fluid level?

i got the same problem? i am good on brake fluid, but i noticed when i take left turns it goes off i think it is just a loose wire it has been this way for about a month so dont worry about having no brakes at all and smashing into somthing.

Yes...it makes a difference. That light isn't just your parking brake light. It's a BRAKE light. It tells you when your fluid is low, as well as when your parking brake is on.

 

Definitely, as already instructed, check your fluid level.

+1...my light was doing the same thing and I thought that my fluid level was OK...my mechanic buddy put a little in and the problem went away.

checked it today and it was fine so maybe the cold had something to do with it

still doing it and it only happens when its really cold out, please help as i dont want to have a serious brake problem

Add a little more brake fluid. The only two things that trigger that light are the e-brake or the fluid level in the MC.
