Gripenfelter
is this threadworthy? It is when everyone claims headers can't be installed on the VQ35DE Pathfinders.
88pathoffroad
Are they produced -for- the Pathfinder, or are they a test-fit from a different vehicle?
navygz19
I would guess prototype seeing as he's *hoping* they fit.
Gripenfelter
They are a prototype. They are modified 350Z headers. Basically taken a 350Z header and shortened it so it doesn't interfere with the firewall...as much. Edited June 22, 2007 by Gripenfelter

vengeful
Please post up any updates as you have them. I'm very interested in seeing where this goes, as well as possible production opportunities for VQ35 Pathfinder Headers. Keep us informed, bud. Gripenfelter
Ok so the driver side slipped right in. Easy. Only took an hour. The passenger side interferes with...EVERYTHING. Lots of accessories in the way and lots of stuff would have to be re-routed. Its not impossible. Just not fun to do. The shop doesn't have time to take on a project of this magnitude right now so I will have to re-book for next month. Or I might do it myself if I get bored. Shop estimated about a 3-4 days to do it. Both headers clear the firewall no problem. You just take the cats out and you can see everything. Its the lines on the passenger side that make it impossible. For now its a no go but I will try again. Edited June 25, 2007 by Gripenfelter

vengeful
That's too bad that it didn't work out the way you had hoped. Keep us posted, and try to post some details about what was interfering, and maybe we can offer some insight on how to get around it....

Hatteras
Keep us posted with your progress. Here is a link to an old thread on another forum where a guy put 350Z headers in his Pathy. Link to Lunchbox123 thread Towards the end of the thread, he indicated that Borla headers would probably fit better than the DC headers he installed. Anyway, maybe this helps.
