MadManMike Posted January 21, 2007 Share Posted January 21, 2007 Hi, It looks like the previous owner of my 95 pathfinder took out their after market security system before selling the car too me. So I would like to get a replacement but I have a few questions that you guys might be able to answer . Is the keyless entry system apart of the security system? because I really don't need a security system I really just want the keyless entry. Also Is there any other hardware necessary for keyless entry? (eg. drive motors) I have electronic locks and windows. I see all the wires for the security system under my drivers seat... I will check my local junk yards to see if they have any pathfinders with stock sec. sys.. I wonder if hook up a security system without all the sensors will it still work? John Boy Posted January 22, 2007 Share Posted January 22, 2007 My 95 had a after market alarm but for some odd reason it's not hooked up and the stock one is. What's even funnier is the after market remotes lock and unlock the door but doesn't enable/disable the alarm. The stock remote enables/disables the doors and locks?????
