Oliver
My buddy's 01 Dakota seems to be stuttering at about 2,500 RPMs. I think it could be a fuel delivery problem like a clogged filter or maybe a fuel pump. Does that seem logical? Or could it be something like the ignition? I don't know where else to look so any help would be great.
NismoSkyZ
The fuel filter and fuel pump are a good place to look...the ignition is not very likely. When my buddy's s10 did the same thing, we figured out that it was the o2 sensors.
88blk4x4
if it's like my wifes 1999 Jeep grand cherokee and my friends dakota, it dont have a fuel filter....it's part of the fuel pump assembly....

Precise1
My buddy's 01 Dakota Thats the problem right there... Seriously, yes I'd start by looking at fuel delivery, including computer controled. Timing and advancement could also be the culprit. It runs fine at, say, 1,500-2k rpm ?
