Auto Tranny slipping under hard acceleration

I noticed my 99 Pathy transmission slipping under moderate to hard acceleration. Also, it seems to be starting off in 2nd gear on occasion. I serviced it about 6K miles ago and everthing looked fine; no metal in pan, etc. Any suggestions?

Are you checking the fluid often?

Auto trannys usually start off in 2nd gear. At least its like that in the R51's. Change the oil and see if that helps.

I serviced it about 6K miles ago. Fluid level is ok. As far as starting off in 2nd, I have never heard that before. Used Castrol Dex III/Mercon as owners manual states Nissan D fluid or Dex III Mercon.

It shouldn't start off in 2nd. That's not standard practice for nay transmission I know of.

Mmy R50 will start in 2nd when it can, but if i slam the pedal down it normally goes to 1st, but occaisonally if I dont slam it fast enough, it gets hung up in 2nd, and my tranny is recently rebuilt.

eh same here, i need to be nice to my tranny, dont wanna blow another one

 

i kinda wish i put a shift kit in the new trans i got.
