Guest quovat
Hi, Question for you 'specialists'. Somebody borrowed my truck yesterday and moved the driver seat all the way back. It will not come forward. It sounds to me like something catching on the inside rail but its impossible to see in there. The seat is manual-adjust. Is this a common thing? Thanks Ben from Ucluelet. :furious: Edited September 27, 2006 by quovat
94extreme
not common.. the adjustment handle is in the fron of the seat.. you have to pull it upwards and then slide the seat.. otherwise get a good flashlight and get your head down there to see what's catching, if anything. good luck
ILoveMyPatty
The cable is probably caught on something. My friends Ranger seat wouldn't move, we wondered why... further inspection revealed a speaker amp under the passenger seat, which the cable was catching on! Got it unhooked, and got an amp out of the deal. He bought it used, obviously..
RedPath88
Four 12mm bolts and the seat is out... if you cannot see anything while it is still in the truck
5523Pathfinder
Probable a coin in the track. I see it all the time. Unbolt seat, remove from vehicle, flip upside down and try to slide track back and fourth. When it stops, inspect and remove. Pliers and a screwdriver, maybe cutting dikes. Casey.T
Susan B. Anthony Dollar is what I found... After removing the seat....
unccpathfinder
theres a thin wire that runs from the left hand track to the right hand track...its possible it got streached out and isnt pulling the fingers up high enough on the 1 side causing it to stick...i just swapped tracks and all that stuff with the 95 seats b/c it lost the ability to slide forward when u pulled the lean back lever...i had bent mine and it wouldnt fully engage that 1 side and after a lil tweaking with some plyers i got back going
