dagwoodzz
That was a surprise, and so sorry for the wife and kids left behind. He did flirt with death and take some crazy chances; but all said and done he's okay in my book. :sniff: Was he as popular to the Aussie's as he was here in the States? 94extreme
well, i am no aussie but from what i understand he actually became popular at home first then discovery ch picked up his show and the rest is history. his folks started a zoo and that's how he got into it all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_irwin
OBXbeachpathy
He was huge in Australia. He was big everywhere. I've seen people in far off corners of the world wathcing his shows. If they dont know much about Australia, chances are they knew Steve Irwin. I met him twice last year, once in Sarasota, Fl. and a week and a hlaf later in Sydney. What an awesome guy, I have so much respect for the thimgs he's done to protect animals.
fordsho90
What a shame :sniff: I loved his shows cause of his enthusiism(sp). He was a real person who loved his job and the animals he messed with, and thats wahat made it work(at least for me) and at least when he died he was doing what he loved. He will be missed. RedPath88
Steve Irwin's Death A real footage on how Steve Irwin died while filming in the Great Barrier Reef Ocean. Although it doesn't show much, but at least...you get the picture.
