firemandan_nz
Ok So I have 31" tyres...If I go to 33" It would make the gears long and low ratio even higher, I have 4.6 ratio and was thinking of changing the diff ratio...Any idea's ps I have a diesel with a lock right
88pathoffroad
Installing gears is the only way to do that and they run about $500 per axle for new ones. You could also look for a wrecked '00-0? Xterra with the 4.9 gears and just swap diffs if they match closely enough...though I bet it'd cost nearly that much to buy diffs out of a X anyway. Filthy Luker
I don't think they have Xterras in New Zealand. You'd have to check around if any Navaras there came with 4.9s... Honestly don't waste your money on getting different gears unless you go for the t-case gearsets that are available. It's perfectly fine to run the stock diff gears with 33" tires.... spend your money on making the front end more solid to take them without blowing up the centerlink. firemandan_nz
Well first gear low and high is long enough now and going up to 33" will make it worse transfer case gears could be the go ...Where can I find those?
