  1. The 10 amp fuse for my rear wiper blows every time I activate the switch. Already replaced the switch and it still occurs. The mirrors work perfectly without any issue, but try the wipers and the fuse is toast. Any suggestions on where to look and how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.
  2. I've got a '03 LE RWD and for a while now it's been having a problem that's been causing the car to severely lacking power (accelerating at less than 1/4 of normal speed even with pedal to the floor) and to also "grab" or "jerk" when decelerating as if it is having trouble downshifting, it is a hard symptom to describe but it isn't a prolonged or aggressive "jerk" but it will happen at any speed so long as you are not on the gas pedal, all of these problems occurred at the same time which is why I believe they both have the same cause. I went ahead and scanned it to see if that would give me an answer as it does not seem particularly like mechanical failure, however the only code I could pull (which isn't really a helpful one) was a "U1001(Invalid or Missing Data for Primary ID)" Which I'm guessing means that for some reason the car can't communicate with the OBDII scanner or that there is a miscommunication/misconnection within the CANBUS itself. I am completely stumped here as I have yet to come across (online or IRL) across another Pathy with the same problem (probably also because it is such a rare symptom to describe without driving the car for yourself. I'll also mention that a friend of kine suggested that it could be a torque converter issue which I doubt simply because i've never been in a car with a malfunctioning torque converter that behaved that way, and because a torque converter shouldn't cause that drastic of a power loss but hey I could be wrong, another note is that the car has been babied it's entire life(150k mi) and maintained relatively well. If anyone could help me out and point me in the right direction and any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Voltage Booster Systems for AGM batteries are pretty popular on the Toyota forums. Here is just a quick YouTube explaining a fix for a 5th Gen 4Runner. Does anybody know if there is a similar fuse slot for the R50.
  4. A/C does not operate. Problem appears to be with control circuit ECCS control module or Thermal Control Amp. The latter appears to be is a thermister Temp sensor device which I suspect sends a signal to the ECCS (ECM) but I can’t understand how the ECCS powers the AC relay on and off. Is there mechanical switching in the ECCS or is accomplished electronically somehow?
  5. I was driving my 95 4x4 Pathfinder XE V6 around town. Made multiple stop at various places. When I pulled into the gas station (hitting the drive way pretty hard)it shut off every thing except the head lights. When I turned the key to start it nothing happened. No dash board lights or clicks. But the head lights still worked. Some one came to pull my car with their truck and tow straps. As they began pulling in the slack on the strap, a strong jerk pulled my car. I had the key in the accessory position and all the dashboard lights came back on. I started the car up and drove it home. I have since started the car multiple times with no problem. I don’t want to drive the car until I can find something to fix. Can any one provide any information or help? Let me know if there is anything else I can provide.
  6. Hey guys, I've posted a few times about my stereo shorting out , but I think I might have a bigger problem. The other day I was trying to find the stereo short. After pulling the deck out and finding nothing, I was pushing the wiring harness back and forth that goes to the drivers door. Just wiggling it to see if I could find a break or find a spot where the stereo would come on. Now my blower motor is coming off and on, stereo is doing the same and I'm wondering if my wiring harness is old and brittle and maybe when I was wiggling it, more wires broke? When the blower motor comes on, it isn't consistent. You can hear that it isn't a good connection. I don't know a hell of a lot about electrical stuff. I did just replace an entire wiring harness on my 99 Isuzu Trooper that pretty much runs the whole engine, however, the Pathfinder seems to be a little more "in depth" with wiring. In other words, it looks like there are a lot more wiring harnesses and a lot more confusion and complications. I'm thinking the blower and stereo are on the same wiring path since they're right next to each other. Do I dare start replacing harnesses? Any suggestions would be more than welcomed!
  7. Hello all, I've purchased a used 2004 R50 SE. The dealer told me about the radio "issue"! However, I don't think it's a radio issue as it turns on and tunes to stations and pushes sounds to the tweeter. Or maybe it is?? I've read in other general forums not specific to Nissan that maybe the factory amp. Do these even have amps between radio and speakers? If so... where? My commute is long.. so I neeeed a radio Also, my shifter area is completely black...no lights at all!!! Hoping it's just the bulb and if so, how do I get to it?
  8. Does anybody have a source for ORIGINAL wiring harness connectors....looking for the GRAY 2-wire labeled 87M to 22E (Battery to starter relay) on the VG30E schematic...anybody??
