  1. have a 1995 Pathfinder, 4x4, she's blazed quite few paths in her day, saved my life at least once, and has always been a real trouper no matter what hell we seem to get into, every time. I am desperate though, I bought a new battery for her (made sure it's compatible and rated for my car)..... Brand new battery, car won't start.... doesn't turn over.... no lights.... no sounds.... not even a click click click.... We have power to the ignition key, and power from the steering column. All fuses are good under the dash. Relays and fuses under the hood have also been checked and seem to be good. Apx a month ago, we removed the Prolock ignition sec system. Car has been running great until this morning, when it just stopped. Any suggestions about where to start looking/checking? There is just no power going anywhere, starting at the battery level.... I did have the battery checked, and it does power, it's brand new and I have been fortunate that my friend/neighbor is really great with autos, but I need a little direction please!

A link to the video showing the problem Good morning everyone, I have this issue with my car where it will crank but it won’t start, the crank gets weaker on each try until it doesn’t crank at all. The battery is 2 years old and 1 month ago it has been sitting for 2 weeks straight with the radio turned on by mistake while I was somewhere else, until the car ran out of battery and I had to jump start it, it worked fine like that but today I have woken up to this issue, I just wanted to know if it seems like just a dead battery or something else could be the issue. I manually bleed the fuel using the fuel filter primer and there’s no air bubbles in the fuel, the spark plugs seem fine, the car always has a rough idle but I guess that’s because the IACV must be dirty and I’ll have to clean it, it usually starts on the second try.
  3. I have an 87 Pathy SE 5 speed and recently my gauges except my speed would crap out and the battery light would come on. Usually this happens when i turn on my signals. My hazards work fine but my signal lights would turn my gauges off and my battery light comes on. My cluster seems to be fine and accurate because when it works, it works great other than when the battery light comes on. There were odd times where i would put it in reverse and back up for a bit and the cluster would work again and everything on my dash would light up bright. I get 14.3-14.5 on idle at the battery with all loads (blower, defrost, and lights) and 12.4-12.7 when it is off I have replaced the battery and alternator and the issue went away for a while then it came back after a few weeks. Idk has anyone had this same issue? I am looking for advice on how to diagnose this.

Hi, yesterday happened something very strange, I was driving and I stop in front of a traffic light and when it turned to green I accelerated normally not hard, not slow, and my pathy started to have intermitent acceleration and almost it turned off, I accelerated slow and started to work fine and then I stopped and it did the same thing, I turned it off and when I tried to turn it on didn't started at all. I disconnected the battery, waited for 10 seconds and when I plugged it back I could start the pathy again but the problem persisted, and after a while a check engine light showed up. I wonder if someone had a similar issue? I'm waiting Monday to arrive so the mechanic can plug the scanner and check the failure code
  5. Voltage Booster Systems for AGM batteries are pretty popular on the Toyota forums. Here is just a quick YouTube explaining a fix for a 5th Gen 4Runner. Does anybody know if there is a similar fuse slot for the R50.
