i believe the car you are referring to, is bonneville. No such thing as a "bonavelle"
get the hardbody. I would never recommend an explorer to anybody, not even my own worst enemy. Why would you even consider that.

Someone please tell me this thread is a joke.

thats a no-go on full auto weapons. Guns are illegal in Mexico. So you have to be a real savage to have a gun down there. I know people who have guns down there anyways.... its illegal though.
and yes ramon hahahah you can run with no lights down there, no problem !!!

hahaha reminds me of hondas... on a honda, when you separate the front balljoint, it is easy to "mushroom" aka destroy the bolt that hold the lower balljoint, if not careful. I ruined it but was able to get the nut on, crossthreaded and holding the weight of the cars front corner on only a few threads.
i drove it to the other side of my neighborhood ghetto like that, driving slowly and hoping that my suspension wouldn't collapse. It didn't. Fixed it at a friends house, who had better tools than me.
A year later, my buddy does the same thing while working on his acura. He asked me if it would be OK to drive on just a few threads and i advised that as long as he drove carefully, it should be OK. At least it was for me.
Then his suspension collapsed a few blocks away from his house, ruining several other expensive parts !! The fender got it bad.

yup nissandoms is right. unless the shock is meant to be run upside down, (some are meant to do it) it messes with the valving and will give you a harsh and unsafe ride.

How about this - it's not the flames that make power.... it's power that makes the flames.
As beastpath suggests, Unless you're ripping out the Pathfinder's hamster wheel of an engine and replacing it with something radical, there is no way you will ever get a legit fireball outta the tailpipe.

LOL !!!

anti-lag
spit fuel into the turbo upon closing of throttle, keeps turbo spooled up for small corners and such. popular in rally. not a great idea if you're expecting longevity.

theres A LOT of offroading... mostly forest type areas.

page 2 mentions the san diego crash where the 2009 lexus, driven by an off duty CHP officer with his family, hit 120 mph before hitting a dead end and crashed into a ditch killing everyone. That was right by my house.
They had enough time to call 911 while going 120, wouldn't you think someone like a CHP officer should have been able to a) engage brakes of some sort, pedal or e-brake dislodge the gas pedal c ) shut off engine
?????

my mechanic broke a 10 ton press trying to get mine out !!

I spent a month in Baja with nothing other than a map and compass for navigation and suddenly everyone needs GPS to drive across town...
B
Baja is best with no map and no compass (well the Q has one built-in but i dont use it). Just go where the beer, fish, and sun take you !

ya when they say 98-04 i think its because the hardbody ended in 97 and the frontier came out in 98. but this locker will fit 96-04 pathfinder / qx4.
