thanks for the fast reply. They did not use a flatbed but they DID charge me for the use of dollies - however, as a former tow truck driver, I know it is common practice to charge for the use of dollies even when they are not used (to make a few extra bucks) so i cannot rely on what their invoice says....

HELP
i have the all mode 4wd (on a switch)
will not engage
coincidentally i found this out the day after my QX4 was impounded by a towing company which could have potentially towed it on only 2 wheels (i dont know)
I ran the self-diagnostic for the transfer case and pulled three codes:
Code 5: transfer motor relay circuit
Code 11: 2-4WDshift solenoid valve circuit or 2WD switch of 4WD shift switch is shorted or open
Code 12: Line pressure switch
Now - what do you experts think of this?
Could this have been caused by a bad tow?
Is there any way to "reset" the computer for the 4WD system - erasing the codes?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

MPG savings with a skidplate is something i have always wondered about. Why would nissan put on such a flimsy skid plate made out of cardboard-like plastic?
Now my guess in confirmed - i need to install my plastic skid to save some MPG!

as long as they got good feedback - youll be fine.
that ebay price is still MORE than your local mechanics pay, with their accounts.... (wholesale) if a local shop quotes you $100 per strut, that means they are probably paying around $25 per strut

What country are the pro-comp tires made in?
I bought pro-comp rims and they came straight from China!!

the Europeans have different stuff on their cars than US, same with Japan. It's like that for many different brands, not just nissan. Enthusiasts will often times be able to distinguish the different trims, different bumpers, different lights, different wheels etc between the EDM, JDM, and USDM markets.
(in my opinion, we americans always get the ugliest and dumbed down versions imported here
)
And specifically to the headlights - in US we have DOT (department of transportation) regulating the headlights which is a US only thing.
vanuatoo, if your Europen headlights do not have proper DOT markings on them then technically they are illegal
ive had problems with this in other (modified) cars but on a low-key truck like a Pathfinder i'd be surprised to hear if you had any problems.

there is no option for $100

ha my buddy has the same exact 230, down to the paint and rims.
maybe the mechanism for the internal exhaust gas recirculation (for emissions) ??
Put the mercedes on jackstand and take a look for yourself !!

keep thinking of reasons why your R50 is superior!!!

michelin ..... highway-oriented all-terrain tire.
when i bought my R50 it had michelin LTX all terrains (maybe 50% tread) and, no offense, but they are probably the worst tires ive ever ran, they didnt grip at all and i popped two of them within several months time, one was from driving through a contruction site and the other was just random
they dont even grip on the street, not sure why anyone would ever go wheeling with them

looks nice - except for the fact that the blue LED's do not light up your needles! White should light them up.

especially now. the (old) BFG M/T have really dropped in price lately. they are like 150 each in my neighborhood, while you cant find BFG A/T's for under 200 each

the KM2 does look less aggressive than the previous KO... but id be willing to give them a try if i could get a good deal on them... ill check in the next few days and keep you posted, alexrex
-
but for 150-160 a tire, why wouldnt you buy something reputable like a BFGoodrich for the same price ??
im in the market for tires right now and i think i wouldnt feel comfortable 500 miles down into Baja riding on walmart tires (is it a psychological thing?)
-
they have larger sizes in 16 "
i saw them yesterday at wal mart, look alrite
-
im with fukin on that one. That pictures makes no sense, just like

My AC compressor clicked loudly for 4 years before it seized up. My new one clicks too.

I travel through Mexicali whenever i am going to San Felipe (Mexican 5 highway)!!

ive had my tailpipe under water and all it does it bubble up.
-
that doesnt make any sense. I would love to see an explanation of how exhaust gas enters the cabin if the tailpipe is under water..
-
damn that looks gorgeous! im gonna go for that size next.
-
which lift are you running tekaz
-
all the opinions here gonna be biased cause everybody has run one or the other, but nobody has run both
but going off what ive read, i prefer the OME which has been tried and tested in the outback of australia
AC 2" lift springs have no evidence of R&D but that guy xplorx4 did moab with the 2" lift so it cant be bad
