  1. I MUST go wheeling with Dean & Keith before I die.
  2. I agree with Dan... as for reduced visibility, I thought I would HATE having the spare on the back of my pathy, but it's not too bad... I got used to using the side mirrors pretty fast.
  3. Apples are way better, I hate peeling oranges... way too much work!!
  4. I know a couple guys who have ran with the winch from Costco, and as far as I know they would reccomend them. They both ran with them for quite a while, with a lot of wheeling & winching under their belts before the winch went. In both cases it was user error that killed the winch. (shock load, and uneven spooling)
  5. I'd say both have pros and cons... both are great, relable trucks... The 96+ might be more reliable, simply because of age. They also provide a more comfortable ride, where the older pathys are more 'trucklike' Both are great offroad, but you have more room to mod the older trucks because there is more out there, and also because of their suspension set up and b/c they are body on frame, as opposed to the unibody R50's.
  6. Only bad thing I've heard of on the 05+ fronty's (and X's too I assume) is the exploding diff's Theyre virtually the same truck, except for the body, so it depends - do you wanna throw your crap in the back, or in with you when you go camping or hauling stuff?? I miss my pick up, loved being able to throw whatever back there, didnt matter if it was wet or muddy from camping, just toss it in the back, hose it out later... But, being able to sleep in the truck is nice.
  7. Thank Simon, I was just playing secretary this afternoon.
  8. The inner joint has to be removed from the shaft... There's a snap ring on the innerside of the housing for the inner CV, that allows the ball & cage to be removed.
  9. Cant say I have... I prefer the look of the older ones myself (not the rubbermaid look)... they are very similar to the Xterra's so you can apply a lot of the same info about the X as the fronty.
  10. What year Fronty are you looking at? They're nice trucks... that's what I wanted when I ended up with the pathy.
  11. wtf is bumper pole, and why a switch for folding mirrors... ????

    OMG OMG!

Let her know the price it will cost you to replace your engine if you hydrolock it in deep water. Why is she against it???
  13. lol, I think I butted in when he was posting Welcome to the insanity rovergirl!
  14. Welcome to the board... NICE PIC! Like Trainman said, check the back diff for the orange sticker... I know there are other ways to check... try a quick search of the board... I havent had any issues with my baby... only 'typical issue' I know of is the front struts... they tend to go, had to get mine changed when I bought the truck.
  15. or do you mean inside the truck? Driver side, left hand side of the steering wheel... not sure about the newer ones, but in mine if you pull out that cheesy change tray, VOILA!! FUSES!!
  16. not sure, but you will likely want them either off, or some type of open ended cap so you can access them to lock & unlock... personally, I think they look fine w/o caps.
  17. Looks good Path-Rookie... mine is installed in that same spot!
  18. how long ago? maybe you have another crappy cap, or the wrong one?
  19. holy crap@ that Kia!! ay-ee!!
