  1. You can look into AC (4x4parts.com) for the coils, there is also a company called Old Man Emu (OME) that makes heavy duty springs for our trucks. When I got my lift springs, I had the dealer put them in.... AFAIK, they go in the same way as the stock coils, so if you know someone who can do those for you, you're set. Also, post up a hello in the welcome section, we'll get you set up on how to posts pics there (as opposed to messing up this thread! )
  2. /\ ditto. I did find in my searches that the VIN is typically a North American thing. If he is correct saying it was made Oct 95, then you would have the 96 model year.
  3. hmmm... did some research and found... well, not much. VIN#'s are typically 17 digits. I would double check that # with a # on the truck... mine has the VIN on the dash, you have to read it from outside through the windshield. Are you ordering parts from Nissan? Maybe they can help you out? Another place, and this could be a shot in the dark, would be the Australian forums, as they may get a few more japanese terranos there than we do.... http://pcoa.org.au/forum/index.php
  4. Most of us who have lifted our trucks have done so, so we can fit bigger tires, to increase our clearance for offroading. I believe some have upgraded their coils for towing.
  5. This might help you: http://www.courtesyparts.com/specs/vin.html Oh, and welcome to NPORA!
  6. Based on the north american pathy's you are correct in thinking you have one from 96-99. Mine has the manufacture date on the sticker inside the door jamb. And as laxman said, I believe you can get the year from your vin #.
  7. I have a hidden hitch (er, had one)... they have a good name for themselves. U-Haul also sells hitches...
  8. I assume because I have an XE it came with a steel spare.
  9. I think my spare is a steel 16" I know some of the Xterra's came with Steelies, but I don't know if they were only 15's.
  10. I once test fit a set of 15" AR767's (like mine), and they fit... although, it was just a test fit so I never drove with them on. Personally, I would want to test fit any 15" rim before I buy them if I were you. (or stick with 16's)
  11. I disapprove of this thread!!
  12. Ah yes, if you're talking about the one right near the end, I had mine removed a couple years ago (so I didn't rip it off on a rock) and I didn't notice any difference at all.
  13. Did you at least have a chance to do the I TOLD YOU SO song & dance for the dealer?? lol
  14. hahahaha... I dont get it!?? We've had a hydrolock because someone started their truck when the tailpipe & exhaust was emerged.
  15. snooped around in his photobucket, here's one:
  16. Good lord, what a way to bump a thread.
  17. Screwdriver & patience?? The only hard part I encountered was removing the plastic surround, after removing the 2 screws at the bottom (I have a 99.5, it may differ from yours slightly...) you can pull the plastic off... it doesn't come that easy, and I was afraid of breaking it. Just be careful try to pry it off evenly and it should be okay.
  18. Wow, that's so sad. I hope the new pup can lighten the mood, but I am sure Molly will never be forgotten.
