  1. I have a 99.5, but I assume it's the same... I removed those two screws from the bottom, and then you just pull the rest off by hand... the top half is held in by metal clips.
  2. take pics & whatnot when you do it... I may end up doing the same... my tires stick out a bit more than I was anticipating.
  3. Very true, a couple guys from the X Club shared the expenses on getting custom brackets made to fit the ARB on the X with the 3" Body lift... cost them $500 each. (CDN) yikes.
  4. True enough Precise... when my hubby's old Civic was rear ended, he took it to a shop to get fixed up, he didnt have it back for long when magically someone had broken into it & stole all his stereo equipment... he is sure it was the shop.
  5. Welcome to the club! I cant say whether the Shrockworks bumper will fit... usually I would say with the right amount of fabbing you should be able to do it - but I cant remember how much the X and the pathy differ once you have the bumper off... I also have no idea where the shrockworks bumper bolts on to the X.... ARB makes a bumper for our trucks (99.5-2004), but it's mega bucks, and quite heavy. TJM makes bumpers for the 96-99, which isnt supposed to fit on the 99.5+, but we'll have to see about that... (2 weeks!) Although, I am not so sure about the availability of the TJM. I looked into all these possibilities last fall when I removed my bumper à la Honda Civic. It's unfortunate more companies dont make stuff for the R50. My husband was talking with Jim from Shrockworks about making sliders for the pathy, but he says it isnt high priority, I suppose not enough interest (I can only assume the answer would be the same about the bumper). We have the shrockworks sliders on the X, and I would LOVE to have a set for the pathy.
  6. I didnt really follow that thread, as I was new at the time... what type of image were you trying to get? I believe is was a photo of Jim's truck?? Were you planning on reproducing as a photo, or were you going to do an effect so it was solid B&W? I could likely create a solid B&W effect from a lower res file... (no promises...)
  7. Last summer I figure it out at about 16 MPG on my 99.5 Which was what they averaged for my truck.... thats City & highway driving everyday. I was getting close to 500 km a tank (I think, this is going by memory - something I'm not good at) Over the winter that went down hill, about 400 km per tank, and just as it was warming up & getting better I went and modded the hell out of it, and I'm stuck at 400 km a tank again.
  8. Nice shots, puts our plain ol' Ontario scenery to shame!
  9. looks like you had fun, and that's what it's all about! any close ups of the finished sliders?
  10. http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=waterloo...inden,+on&hl=en We're just north of Oshawa... but we have members out your way and in Guelph, Hamilton... all over really... you would be more than welcome to join us some time. Probabaly your best bet is to check out SOXC and watch the events section for runs... (more pathy's on the board too! hehe... we get picked on sometimes, but I think Ive posted before, its mostly from former Pathfinder owners!)
  11. Washed the truck today: right click, save as Rest of our pics, not too many, I forgot the CF card to the camera. DUH. http://www.muddynissan.com/photos/mindenrookie042305/
  12. I have all the fancy scmancy graphic designer's programs to make GIF's... thats the only way I could help ya.
  13. Dark green trucks are the smit' yo!
  14. heh, I still have yet to let my dad know we lifted the pathy and are offroading it. Yeah, I'm 30, and still afraid of my dad! haha... He's pretty cool about us wheeling the X, but I think he's mostly just being nice about it. I can only hear the signs, and see the eyes rolling from here tho...
  15. *tear in her eye* *runs out and hugs her pathy* nuthin like the truck you love, no matter how run down it is to others, it's still your baby! I cried (and can still get weepy) when I got rid of my old truck. The sales person advised I dont ever get pets if I'm going to get that emotional over a truck.
  16. I still get carded, last year on my 29th b-day I was denied service, as my licence was expired. (WTF!?) The drinking age is 19 here...
  17. best mod: TIRES!! I'll be getting my skids from Black Panther this summer, looking forward to it! (yay RUNNERMAN!)
  18. shall we have the aspirin ready for tomorrow morning? Have a good one!
  19. Repack: That was some sticky rut filled mud... actually there is still some frost in the ground, in a couple weeks that trail will be soup! in that pic the green jeep is trying to get around the white XJ in front of it, to try & pull it out... it wasnt quite as chaotic as that pic makes it look! That army truck is out there quite a bit... We've never really talked to the guys, but when we found the flipped ford, we had some sent some ATV'ers out to see if he was about. If he wasnt there, that 'revovery' would not have been so smooth!
