if u don't have to smog yer rig you can remove it but it's not exactly legal......

does the bushing stick out about 1/8th of an inch and won't go any more? if so, you may have a bushing for an automatic..... i usually use a small block of wood and a hammer for mine so they go in evenly

oh, and timing is SUPPOSED to be at 15 degrees (i run both mine at 14 tho)....... if you had your timing at 12 degrees, and lived here in CA you'd fail a smog test.

the factory handbook actually says not to run anything over 87 octane.......... before i knew that i ran 89 and mini would ping...... run 87 and all happy again. the 91 octane can actually harm your engine over time if it wasn't built for that type of fuel in the first place (like a corvette/sports cars/yadda yadda)

see, i just proved my point. we LOVE our rigs......... which means we are willing to do whatever it takes to KEEP them. no giving up! i need to dump about $5,000 into my 2 rigs to get them 110% but i don't have the money, so i do what i can, when i can. as for major stuff, i fix it, no questions asked. i love both my rigs, they've never let me down on anything that wasn't my fault..... fix it. it's a PITA but not a huge ordeal. and i agree with uncc, may as well do a clutch job while yer in there or, you gimme YOUR pathy, and you can have king. who needs a new tire, shocks all round, steering stabilizer, windshield, alignment, center link installed, locks installed, tint removed and redone........... yeah. i'll swap your (home fix) $200 fixable pathy for my $1300 fixer upper lmao oh, and his smog test & tags are due. will that be a problem? hehe (another $175)

i drove mini me with a leaking RMS for 6 months fore i pulled the motor........ check your oil often, but ultimately, it will have to be fixed.

i would go with a no name brand of HF cat..... for starters. go to a mom n pop operation near you, and ask them how much for what you want. i had my entire exhaust built (supplied thorley's but had them install) 2.5" pipe, magnaflow muffler, hf cat. for $900. 1 whole day of that was labor to modify the headers to fit king's lifts.. you may wanna take yer rig somewhere else... if the problem is back, you just got charged for work that was not related to your issue, also, how do you KNOW that key was sheared off? did you SEE it? did they show it to you? or did you take their word for it? go somewhere else.....

you'd know the difference between engine & trans fluids....... i'd say yer valve cover is leaking. have you checked if there's oil on the back of the vc's? have you also checked to make sure you OPS isn't loose and leaking, or your oil filter? i'd also tell her "ya don't like the smell, drive yer own rig"

i have the chrome nickle plated on both rigs. 1 auto 1 manual. no problems on mini me, but king....... well......... *much modification needed* there..... (and i'm in CA) thorleys rock! and yeah the prices have gone up since i got mine, holy crap!

when you were fishing around doing your tune up did you move or mess with throttle cables? (i had that problem after i changed my injector rails, it accidentally got adjusted too tight and would cause surging and death)
