  1. I heard that it is a UTE Navarra snorkel. Yes, that is a JDM Terrano R50. Apparently, the person who took that picture, said that the picture doesn't show how it really fit, and that the fit was HORRIBLE, and there were gigantic gaps all over the place. But, um...I'm ok with the gaps that it shows...
  2. Just bringing this back up... Mark, do you have any progress on your design? Have you heard anything further through the PCoA forums? I still really want to get a snorkel for my truck...
  3. Sure, it's not the single greatest fit ever, and the antenna is on the wrong side, but it works. I personally think it looks a lot better than Keith's, although, his shows a LOT of ingenuity. And no, cutting through the fender skin will NOT compensate structural rigidity. The fender skin has very little affect on overall structural rigidity, and there are already several existing holes on the inner fender, if you were to simply enlarge one of them to fit your air tube, you would be fine.
  4. Well, since you're so close, you should definitely think about joining the club, or at least our forums, and I'll keep you updated on the next one.
  5. Entropy, would you be so willing to indulge me with some pics of your trailer hitch as well? Truck's lookin good.
  6. Yeah, it's real nice out there! One of these days I'll make my way down there....you'll have to show me your rig.
  7. Your hood latch and release mechanism has gotten FUBARed. After a while, corrosion builds up and the spring stops working effectively. I had the same problem, replaced the hood latch, and it works fine now.
  8. July 22-24, eh? I might be able to work something out for that time period.
  9. Bro that's sick. You have got to grace us with some videos of it...PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAASE? Also, where in OZ are you? I've got some friends of the family living in Canberra.
  10. Actually it's in PA, so it's closer! It's a shame that nobody is around, and can make it. You guys should try to make one of the summer runs, then.
  11. I actually went through the trouble of designing my own, and then when I priced out the steel it was as expensive as some of the other steel racks you find online. Check www.prolineracks.com They've got a steel rack for $129.
  12. I would stay away from a cone filter if you drive through "deep" mud or water. Otherwise, go for it. I had the JWT and didn't have a problem with it, until I decided to attempt to install a snorkel, can't do that with a cone filter.
  13. I use whatever the Nissan techs give me. With your LSD make sure you use oil with the LSD Additive or you might screw it up. Also, You have a PM regarding your post in the Parts Wanted section.
  14. Snow wheeling issues? Like falling through ice into a 5' deep hole on a 40 degree incline and having all 4 wheels off the ground? Kinda like what happened to Bob when we were in Paragon on January 22nd, when the high that day was 3 degrees and it snowed a foot? We still had a great time though!
  15. Ahh...that'll do it. When do you turn 18? We have runs about every 2-3 months.
  16. Yeah, I just noticed that today. It's gone up 15-20 cents here since the last time I filled up! Yikes! Anyways, the more the merrier! Pass this on to friends and family who might be interested. The event is open to any Imported truck or SUV (yes, that includes Yotas... -thnkboutit- )
  17. Pezzy, there will be a group arriving Friday afternoon and camping someplace nearby, and we will be camping Saturday night in the park as well. You guys should come down, and bring BOTH your trucks...
  18. Yeah, that wouldn't be a problem, except our corner lamps use some funky little bulb...
  19. Well Ladies and Gents, it's starting to get warmer. The birds are chirping and the trees are budding. You know what that means. Spring is coming! In honor of that, NIORA is having it's First Annual Spring Run at the Rausch Creek Off-Road Park, in Pennsylvania. This will likely be a 2-Day run with camping in-park for quick access in the morning, and less cost for us. Rausch Creek requires all attendees to become park members, which is a meager $10. There is a $25/day charge to enter the park. NIORA will require that all in attendance sign the NIORA waiver and if you are interested in becoming a member, this will be the perfect time to do so. NIORA Website: http://www.niora4x4club.com Rausch Creek Website: http://www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org Hope to see you there.
  20. Yeah man, a 2WD can do pretty well off-road. If you have some aggressive tires and a locker or LSD you'll be able to go as far, if not farther than open 4WD trucks. Also, it is 85% driver, 15% truck. Once you've built up some skills and confidence, you'll be able to tackle just about anything, within reason of course. Have fun, the Pathfinder is a great truck.
