He has a VG if I am not mistaken. I don't know why you would want to swap it for the ka24de. But yeah, I guess youd have to find a transmission/transfercase from a 4x4 hardbody.

Nice find. You will have to come out with me and koveman sometime. There quite a lot of other AZ people who wheel nissans too.

Got my ARB High Output compressor in the mail!

I wouln't try to re-route any large wires, or bundles of wires through there either. That panel doesn't have much space between it and the drivers side cylinder head. Most people route things like cb radio wires or extra lighting wires through the panel.
Like unccpathfinder said, it is easier to jump the transmission lock. I will look over the weekend to see if I have a spare MT brake pedal. Do you need an MT shift boot or anything else? I have a small selection of parts from the swap.

Here is a nismo wing that was on ebay a little while ago. Ive seen pics of them on some canadian pathfinders too.

Hey man, I know this thread is OLD, but did you sell these?
-
I agree, neat, but change the coil wire.

Good deal for someone!

I'd buy it

how does it sound?
It sounds great! Low and somewhat rumbley, but not obnoxious.
-
what catback did you use, don't see a Gibson part number for our trucks?
Part number 612200. They are only listed as being for 1993 for some reason.

Installed a Stainless Steel Gibson cat-back (and new magnaflow direct fit cat). The old muffler practically fell apart when I removed it.
Sounds awesome and I can feel a tad more power, plus there are no rattles when I drive around now.

Checked my tire pressure - 26 psi HOT! Time to add some air.
Also. Got my Gibson Stainless Steel cat-back in the mail!

Just wanted to let everyone know there is a smittybuilt tube bumper on a 88 pathfinder at the pickapart in south Phoenix (3125 W. Broadway Rd. )
I found it today when I was searching for parts - there are also 2 other late 80's wd21s, a 91, and a 93.

They look fine. They don't come with bushings from superlift either - you use your factory spindle with factory style bushings - most people use poly ones that you can get from rugged rocks or 4x4parts

- Adjusted the idle to 750rpm
- installed an unbroken coolant res bottle
-
Can't wait to see this in production also!

Considering getting the stainless steel Gibson cat-back.
I know there are a few members on here who are very pleased with it - done a lot of searching. Do any of you have a video of what it actually sounds like?
Thanks!

Any updates on this?

Awesome truck. What year car is the altima fan from?

try driving around jerking it around in first gear with the gas pedal in other words start it in gear with the clutch in but make sure you are clear of objects if that doesnt work in a few tries then it has to come apart
Yeah I tried that. I'm thinking I may have installed the clutch plate backwards.
On the top of the clutch pedal you should be able to adjust it. Maybe its just not pushing it far enough. I have a center force 2 in my r50 and it took a little tweaking to get it right.
The slave pushes the pin as far as it can go. No joy.

This morning I finished off my vg33 install. Engine turned on just fine, timing is all set, etc etc etc.
I get in to take a test drive, turn on the car in neutral, press the clutch pedal and tried to shift into first.....it won't. I can feel the vibration of the engine against the stick, but clearly the clutch is NOT disengaging when I push the pedal in.
The transmission WILL shift when the truck is OFF.
I used an OEM replacement VG30 Exedy clutch. The kit came with everything including a pilot bearing. The pilot bearing was VERY tight in the crankshaft, and VERY tight (shaved a little plastic off) for the clutch alignment tool.
Apart from that it was just another clutch install. Didn't have any problems at all.
I replaced the slave cylinder and bled it and can see it push the fork in when someone steps on the pedal. I also took the dust boot off and can see the throwout bearing push against the pressure plate spines. (That was all with the engine off by the way).
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Does anyone have any ideas before I have to take the transmission out (again, lol)?
Thanks guys!

Never had a problem taking the tbars out either. Just some wiggling etc.
With the tbar crossmember, I just beat on that with a mallet until it came loose enough for me to pull it out.
