  1. just start taking stuff off the front, then the cover itself and there it is. now, rmember to set TDC BEFORE you take the old belt off. you may also want to double check by counting the teeth in between. slick knows the count and it's in the forum multiple locations. search may yeald those numbers. also, there are two methods to tightening the belt right. 88 discussed them both in multiple threads. then you just reasseble in reverse order - and that's what all the manuals will tell you. some things to consider "while you're in there": h2o pump, cam seals, electric fan mod, tranny cooler mod (AT only.)
  2. ^^^ in 4 wheel on the highway? if yes then yes it would.
  3. hey, you started it. and i am in a pretty good mood right now.
  4. let's capture that edition at least. it's powertrax actually.
  5. lol. little ornery, eh?
  6. rubber? like the stuff they have in the heave equipment?
  7. what the hell? you ok. let's leave it. good one though.
  8. for some reason i am thinking there is another one like this out there somewhere. i seem to recall one that was actually painted.. i definitely could be wrong though.
  9. You mother was a hamster and your father smelt of eldeberries. check this out --> http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/mphg/mphg.htm
  10. i didn't have time to check anything and it poured buckets yesterday. not sure if i'll have time to look into this any further today either but as soon as i do i'll update.
  11. they also have brass bushing replacement at AC i think. partailly why it's a good idea to get L&P steering. it solves that problem and all for U$250 + shipping to AU.
  12. oh, that's awesome red. thanks for all the links my man. i'll definitely take a better look tomorrow if it doesn't rain. i don't want to have to shuffle all my cars out of the garage right now.
  13. new CL. rides like a dream. no wandering or anything. i'll try to take a pic with the POS digi camera i have tomorrow and i'll post up. i will lift it anyway since i have to take a looksy at the e brake again and check a few other things underneath.
  14. thanks man. any idea how to adjust the camber? i might have to look into the longer UCAs but man, the money is v. tight right now. darn it.
  15. my TRE assemblies look just like they did before. the other thing i thought of was that i did have my tires rotated at the tire shop v. recently (since my muddy excursion) but i doubt that'd make any difference. they are not noticably worn but i'll have to check the rears tomorrow. it's awfully hard to tell with these knobby monters though, we'll see and i'll report back tomorrow. btw. the truck tracks just fine but it definitely has quite a + campber and seems like rather excessive toe. any idea on the numbers that it should have for either of those?
  16. never. i'll have to come back in a bit and read your prior post. thanks.
  17. no idea on the TB crank. i have never done it but maybe one of the previous owners did. kind of make me wonder since even after replacing the rear springs i still have the nose up higher then the butt. the toe didn't seem to be there before but now it's noticable. crap. i wonder if i messed something up when i burried it in mud during last outing. have really, really bad creeks and squeeks now. thanks.
  18. ok, i've noticed this not long ago and it has been worrying me somewhat so i thought i'd ask. the tires on my truck lean in two different directions. seems there is a bit of a "pigeon toe." they both kind of "plow" or are closer to each other in the front then they are in the back. the other lean is that the tops of each front tire are sticking out more past the truck then the bottoms. not sure if either condition is normal. i noticed this since i took off the fender flares. any idea if this is normal or what may be the cause? please share your thoughts thanks all.
  19. wow. i thought the head shots were polite, no?
  20. how many MCD in your town.. there are freaking hundreds of them here. then add another hundreds of BKs and hundreds of Hardees... there is plenty of them around.
  21. what did you do about the turn signals then? corner lamps blink?
  22. hydrogen is widely used in Iceland already. bio diesel is great and i know a few folks that brew it for less then a dollar per gallon. there is absolutely nothing wrong with it and i don't understand why one would say that it's not a viable option. besides it's recycling at it's best.
  23. according to this -> http://www.renewables2004.de/ppt/Presentat...h)-LaRovere.pdf the cost of producing ethanol is around $20/barrel
