  1. hahaha, the other day i went into a tire shop to ask a guy how big of wheels i could fit on my pathy (after installing my 3" BL) and the guy was like "Oh, you can easily fit 33's on there. maybe even 35's." LOL! needless to say, that place won't be appreciating my business... they did have a buy 3 get 1 free tire sale though :[
  2. maybe that and the fact that i don't have enough money right now to go down to SoCal. Right now i'm tryin to save up for a camping trip that's all the way in december! lol.
  3. it's all good, mang. and i have to agree with simon. some things are in the worst positions
  4. id' say they're just taut in general. i don't mean to sound like an smarta$$, but the definition of taut is tense; not slack. therefore the lines don't have to be taut in any one place, just generally tense.
  5. mine's the name of one of my favorite songs from my favorite band (The Black Dahlia Murder) they're a good melodic death metal band. If anyone's into that stuff, i suggest you check 'em out. plus i think it's funny
  6. yeah, i saw that show. that stuff looks pretty crazy.
  7. has anyone had any problems with their brake lines after installing a BL? i just installed mine today/yesterday and i noticed the lines were a bit taut. i imagine this would be worse if i had a suspension lift too. can you uncoil the lines a bit to make them longer?
  8. how much did u spend on everything? (money and time) i'm too lazy to read all those pages of text. lol. the pictures were sick though!
  9. k, can you describe how to check the ECU or unclog my EGR tubes or provide some link that explains it? it's like $100+/hour at the dealership to look at my car.
  10. lol, i just got my flowmaster 40 installed today. cat back too. but i want a louder, more obnoxious one! no joke. i'll see if the muffler shop i went to can cut me a deal on a new one
  11. chrome don't get you home! very nice truck. hella clean.
  12. o yeah, would using the wrong oil affect my mileage? some jerkoff at kragen(kragen=schucks/checkers in california, for clarification) told me to use 10-40w on mine. we use 10-30, right? (i didn't know this before reading through these forums)
  13. i hate that. just because we fishtail/hydroplane doesn't mean that we're gonna do any damage/ hit anyone other ppl just need to calm down
  14. dang, that's probably true. about a month ago i went camping/ 4wheelin. when i got back home there was SOOOO much dirt/dust in the engine compartment and in the air filter and stuff. and since then i've been gettin like 3 less mpg. i will DEFINITELY check that out soon.
  15. i get about the same mileage. what is there to do w/ the ecu? i've never looked at mine so you're gonna have to explain it real good for me. lol.
  16. haha, aight. and along w/ the body lift, i'll get a new muffler and an intake system (if i can find one) while i'm at it
  17. lol, i didn't even notice that sicks was supposed to be 6. and thx for the welcome. yeah, i figure i wanna go big w/ 33's especially since my friend has 33's on his yota and we can use each other's tires when we go wheelin if need be
  18. body lift it is! thx again, guys. sorry if i agitated you by being a noob, Vsicks. thanks for everyone's advice though, i really appreciate it. i know there's some other forum where somebody says which lift to do first, but i couldn't find it. or i was too lazy to. idk. time to go buy a body lift! (within the next week or so)
  19. oh, i plan to wheel and i also plan to get both types of lifts. but my problem is this: i'm not the most rich guy there is. lol. i only have a 1000 USD limit credit card (i'm only 18) so if i got the SL first, that'd take up like 800 USD and i'd be left w/ my stock 31x10.5 AT's. but if i got the BL first, i'd have the money to buy new rims and tires as well. speaking of which, how big of tires could i fit w/ just a 3" BL? 33x12.5's would be nice so i'd like to leave it up to you experts to decide for me. lol.
  20. omg, i didn't even see the Body Lift link on the left hand side of AC's website. thanks for the help, guys! so new question now: which should i get first, a suspension or body lift? thx again
  21. at least not for my '88. i don't know about other years, but there are no body lifts available (that i can find anyway) for my car ('88SE V6) with an automatic transmission. am i stuck with only the option of installing a suspension lift? the max lift i can get with those is 3-4", and i'm not getting the 4" because it's way more expensive. are there any places that can make custom body lifts?
  22. yeah, my AC never worked when i got it. i didn't get it fixed till a year later, only cause people kept complaining that i didn't have AC (it's as hot as tits in my part of CA, btw) only my AC was never fixed. it cost $80 USD for the recharge, then another 260 for the test for leaks. at the end of the test, no leaks were found (the way they tested was to run a red dye throughout my AC system and check for any bleeding; no dye was found). however, about 2 weeks later, the AC didn't work again. so my guess is there's a reallllly slow leak somewhere. not that you need AC anyway. just roll down the windows
