  1. idk exactly how to word this question, but can you keep your stock gears with 33" tires and make up for the power loss by increasing your horsepower?
  2. i had my bumper brackets cut in half, like the ones above, and a piece of metal pipe to bridge the two pieces together instead of butting the two halves up and only welding a small section of metal together. the bumper relocation brackets that came with AC's body lift weren't worth Jack.
  3. omg, i thought my capacity was a lil over 17 for the longest time. then one day at the pump i saw it go to 18gallons and that blew my mind! now it's 21! dang. lol. my gas gauge definitely lies to me though. my first quarter tank is about 7 gallons!
  4. yeah, my owner's manual says 3 5/8 and i have the v6, auto trans, 4wd and stuff. and that's how much i put in. does anyone else's engine idle higher after they change their oil? mine does. but then after a few weeks or a month w/ the new oil it drops down to normal.
  5. #2= Statutory Ape. do we all have to get the same kinda headers? by same kind i mean coated/ crhome w/e. cuz idk which one i want for sure.
  6. instead of calling it "global warming", it's being called "climate shift" by some people. the whole "shift" idea is meant to account for that something. whatever it is.
  7. is it true that these headers don't work if you have a lifted truck? and i can make a commitment no problem.
  8. i got mine for free! :tonguefinger: some dummy didn't want it anymore, so now it's mine. it only had one problem at the time which was squeaky steering because it was out of PS fluid. i've had it for a year and a half now and the only other problem was a water pump failure which was no big deal. also, my friend even has problems with his 94 Toyota pickup. that's more problems than i'd have with my pathy anytime!
  9. i'm goin to that winter fun fest deal in grass valley.even though i never registered. haha.i'm sure i can blend in somewhere. anyone else up for meeting there? i'm leaving saturday afternoon and wheelin on sunday since i work saturday morning.
  10. nothin too bad here (Roseville, that is. it's by Sac) only a small part of my fence blew over ~32 feet. i was drivin during the worst part of the storm with no problem. i just hydroplaned once it was irritating me that everyone else was driving so slow. lol.
  11. haha. i made a thread sayin the exact same thing when i was new here. they work for auto's. i put one on mine here's a link to one. you can find lots of other aftermarket parts for your pathy on this site as well. http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/i...420978978e5628b
  12. do you need anything else other than a better CL?
  13. damn! i never thought of that when i made a list of all the upgrades i want
  14. hah. i got the same jerry can w/ the same wussy strap. except i mounted mine like this except the mounts are beefier now and on a different part on the tire rack. now i have an ammo box where that jerry can holder used to be. i think it's pretty sweet.
  15. man, that tire looks HUGE on the back. can you see anything around that tire? lol
  16. hahahaha. that's what i thought FD was trying to insinuate.. there's a word for that kinda word mix-up: spoon·er·ism /ˈspunəˌrɪzəm/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[spoo-nuh-riz-uhm] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun the transposition of initial or other sounds of words, usually by accident, as in a blushing crow for a crushing blow.
  17. i'm not even seeing the pix at all. that looks like a mix of html to me, but i'm not expert
  18. idk yet. at the time i didn't have the money to fill it w/ gas. but i get paid today so we shall see! lol.
  19. since i can't start a thread in the "How-To" section, i'll make one here. alright, so i bought a jerry can and the holder for it at the local Riebes for 56.82 USD. 2 "Flat Plates" at home depot (that stuff your garage door track is suspended by) 2 1-1/4" U-bolts (1-1/4" is the diameter of your stock spare tire rack) and 2 1/4" lock nuts for the u-bolts. i already had the rest of the hardware handy, mostly leftover hardware from my AC body lift kit (it doesn't really matter what size hardware you use for the rest) here's a pic of all the parts i had to buy (minus the jerry can): http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/IMGP0379.jpg i then cut 4 14" sections of the flat plate, and one 13" section. two of the 14"sections went horizontally alongside the jerry can holder on the top and two of the bottom, and one 13" section went diagonally for support (it's not in this next picture, but you get the point. it went from hole to hole) i fastened all the sections of flat plate with washers and lock nuts. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/IMGP0380.jpg then i had to beat the u-bolts over the tubing on my tire rack. this bent the ends of the U's outwards, but i bent them back as shown in this next pic. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/IMGP0381.jpg the 2x4 gave the u-bolts a solid surface with which to beat them against with a hammer. this bent the u-bolts back into place so that they would align with the holes in the flat plate. all that's left to do is fasten the jerry can holder to the u-bolts, and voila! you've mounted yourself a jerry can holder. the whole thing cost me 70.99 USD and about a half hour of work. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/IMGP0383.jpg
  20. oops. lol. i was referring to the ES3000's. and idk the answer to ur height question. some info from the 4wheel parts site: ...the Pro Comp ES1000. Designed as a replacement to factory... blah blah blah. basically just your standard stock. ...Designed to significantly improve both on and off road comfort and control, the Pro Comp ES3000... this seems like it would be your choice, based on the information you gave. and no, you don't need steering stabilizers. they're not completely necessary but they do improve the steering's handling off-road. and the Nissan Hardbody is nissan's pre-Frontier pickup truck. idk how else to describe it. lol. hopefully you know what truck i'm talking about...
  21. dang, those pro-comps are way cheaper than the rancho rs5000's (price wise, that is) and they come w/ the steering stabilizer too. i would get them if they weren't blue and my truck wasn't red. hahaha.
  22. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/IMGP0378.jpg there's a link to the pic of my cup holder that i got a kragen. i didn't post it in here cuz it's too big and i don't wanna take the time to resize it. lol. but as far as functionality goes, it works for holding 2 medium-sized drinks. the big ones will just topple over due to top-heaviness, unless you hold on to the top of them. it fits snugly in between my chair and the center console. every once in a while i have to hold on to the tops of my drinks while i take corners too fast (which is all the time. i do it just to save gas)
  23. yeah, red and black's always a good combo IMO. i'm gonna get black rims on my red pathy as soon as i can
