  1. mine also has that bracket with nothing there i’ve been wondering about what that was lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. i ordered hubs and remanufactured cvs as well as boots to make the current non clicking but torn cvs a good backup. i’m assuming remanufactured is just a good set of nissan oe with new boots-99$ both sides from detroit axles. the hubs i ordered are knock off brand for 65$ and measure 3.1” at their dial end. my se wheels inner lip makes the opening 3.23” so let’s see how accurate amazons measurements are. decided against wheel spacers and to go with 15” 3.75 offset black steelies 49$ a piece from bbwheels. 256ish $ after lugs and stems and i’ll order some tire balancing beads when i order tires sooner rather than later as i’ve discovered...DRYROT[emoji33] might go with 33x12.50 ironman all country mts just because they’re 579$ for four tires and that’s pretty great to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. so far only thing that’s stopping me from buying my hubs is the decision between spacers nd new wheels. i did find wheels for stupid cheap 15x8 with 3.75 backspacing i think they’re like 39$ a piece. i could get the wheels and wait an extra week before i do the cv boots and hubs or i can get the spacers and what not now and be able to do it a week sooner but i’ll still need to get new rims down the road for the tires i want. the spacers nearly feel like they’ll be a waste of money but like they definitely aren’t at the same time. any advice? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. did you use a heat gun and plastic for this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. you’re right. i’m going to see about pricing out how much of a difference it’ll be because i’ll need a wider rim either way so it’s 15x8with either -19offset or regular 45mm with a spacer. i remember seeing super cheap rims this sizing last i looked Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. mile marker 435 is the one that fits these wheels or just the ones best for the truck? i know it needs 28 spline and i’ve also heard some hubs need the studs changed while others don’t? is this true? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. it sounds to me like i’m gonna be buying a set of steelies at some point then! i’ll probably go with the 15x8 with that -19mm offset if i’m gonna do new rims. the only reason i might not get them yet is because when i do new cv boot i was planning on putting a set of manual hubs on and i’ve heard you need spacers with these wheels and manual hubs due to the hole being tapered in the se wheels. i can always just hold off the hubs though too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. that’s right! i got home after getting only three stitches but she said i was lucky because i nearly severed my tendon after the main knuckle on my left pointer finger. But as soon as i got home i finished painting the fender i was originally working on! not the greatest picture and it’s okay that it’s not perfect yet. i’m needing to get white for other areas of the truck so it’ll get cleaned up then. i’m going to do the rocker panels and front fender aswell but i’m done for today with the grinder lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. so i got hurt today working on the truck! hit my finger with the grinder while taking paint off the fenders to paint it black. getting stitches. again. ugh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. now eventually by the end of summer/fall i need new tires. i am going to preferably buy 33s in the falcon wildpeaks we all love. i’ve been trying to find info on the width of the stock se wheels that i have and i keep getting info saying they’re 7” wide but fine to mount that 285/75r16 on them while others say they’re 8” and therefor fine to use. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe i can get away with 2” wheel spacers and my original wheels bc i like them and they need to be painted black soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. i love the fact our motors can handle a 33” tire like it’s nothing it’s great [emoji16] that’s the size i also wanted to go to when i purchase tires, the 285/75/16, i have the 2.5/2” spacers from sf, that’s the lift you still had when you first put them on right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. what are the tire sizes you’ve had on your rig so far? do you think you’ll get rid of fender flares and rear bumper cover to fit bigger again at some point or are you gonna stick with size you have now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. you’re right! i thought it looked out of place there, i gotta get under with a flash light today after work and see if i can zip that bad boy back in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. from about a week ago we had nice weather and i wanted to start testing how i liked black stripes where the fender flares and bumper covers were. decided that i’ll use the entire line of where the fenders were and the entire area the bumper covered gets paint too. same on the front and by then i’ll have pvc pipe to make coolant and wiper fluid containers in the engine bay. that’s if i deem they stick out too far when the front cover comes off, which i’m pretty sure they will. if they don’t they’re turning black as well as the rocker panels of course. some areas of future derusting when it’s actually warm again i took the bumper off to clean up on same nice day as well because it wasn’t looking good. it didn’t end up back on the truck yet but truck does look cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. that’s honestly good to hear. i’ve been thinking the noise had to mean something was wrong everything’s still tight. i do i need a good cleaning. its safe to spray paint that area after a good wire brushing of rust away, right? i start work again this week, so at least money comes in soon! first things i’m doing is going to good car wash then ordering manual hubs and going to lowe’s to get metal for that missing link.
  16. i suppose i should really say the noise while that shock flexes combined with the spring looking off kilter like that made me nervous. it is probably fine but just doesn’t seem right because it still handles fine i still barely nose dive just as before i lifted it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. driver side (the spring in question) passenger side no noise and spring end seated where it should Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. okay, mine is backing out of that rubber isolater on the bottom and it’s causing the spring to have been twisted back when the pressure was put back on it. i’m gonna try putting it in the air and moving it around by hand but i’m probably going to need to get a compressor to be able to fix its position. i’ll post pictures in a little bit for visuals so it makes more sense Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. do you mean it was off the seat hanging off the edge or just moved backwards away from being fully seated? mina the second, should i still try hammering her back in? this is good news because if i think about it it started after my alignment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. alright so there’s been an odd rubbing or squeaking noise coming from my front left. i haven’t gotten to take a good look at it with the tire off but i feel like the spring is twisted away from the bottom perch and that’s causing some weird sounds while stopping and going. usually whenever the strut moves any ideas on if it could be other things before i go rent another spring compressor ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. from what i’ve read and been told so far you can even just use the one inch spacer just not any bigger Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. that tire size looks good what’s your lift and what size are they and what not? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. true but the control arms not pulling away is probably helpful to some extent for the cvs. either way just gotta be careful until i either do a sas or get coils Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. just something to add! the “missing link” also helps those cvs with the spacers. i feel like as it stiffens the front it adds little more resistance to over flexing the front since you’re connecting independent suspensions?? feel free to tell me i’m wrong here though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. good GOD that’s expensive...time to make a new email for amazon prime lmao Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
