I had a similiar problem with my 92. The lock broke, and i couldnt get the damn thing open. I removed the bottom pins, which gave the door a bit of play, so i had to pry the door open. try using 2 thin pieces of metal on each side of the lock mechanism, and slide the pieces inwards to compress the locking pins. i pushed a bit too hard, and broke my strike and my glove box 'hinge pins'. I glued the strike back together, but the box never seemed to close quite right after that. The box hinge pins are actually part of the inner 'lining of the glove box. Stealership cost was $84.97. A wrecker charged me $20 for the lock, box, and strike. Apparently the strike is on the upper inner top of the box opening, and can be bought from a boneyard, or a stealership if yer not so lucky. The lock striker is PN# 68640-75P00 and costs $7.10. The lock is PN# 68630-V6926 and costs: $37.39 The lock itself was way too expensive at the stealership, so i found a non-locking latch at a wrecker. The way i see it, if someone wants in yer box that bad, the thief will probably do more damage if he cant open the box anyways... good luck you you. al

Trail, So you used 4-4.5" springs in the rear. What did u use for your front lift? Im also curious to know how you modified your crossmember and how difficult it was. Pics would be sweet! ... drools... to hell with the 3" Calumi this spring! al

Hey guys, I've been noticing lately that my rear side windows fog quite badly when it rains out. Any suggestions on how to handle this? I had an idea to mount somekind of auxillary fan in the rear of the cargo area.

you can get them at Lordco. TransDapt #1213 for duel kit. I think my duel cost about $80CDN incl taxes. I think the single is #1113. the REALLY good news is that the PH8A FORD filter that fits the kits are REALLY Cheap! Like $5! I just found a WIX distributor here in Vancouver/Burnaby/Coquitlam. The Wix filter is: 51515 just over $5! Coquitlam Automotive & Can West Automotive in Burnaby carry the Wix.

coolio.. thanks Terrano.. what kinda tool do u use to take panels off, just a flat screwdriver or something special? I think im going to mount my main unit under my drivers' seat cause there isnt really a lot of room under the dash for it. I think removing the seat will prolly be the easy part. Everything else, like the A Pillar looks like its gonna be a pain in the arse to remove... When i finally get things going, i think i'll make a 'work log' with pics in the garage section for this project.

Hey guys, Finally getting around to mounting my ham radio and am routing wires underneath panels for the ham's 'head' unit. Is there a trick/special procedure for removing the left side 'A' Pillar, and the cap that covers the rear view mirror mounting? I tried to remove the mirror mounting cap today, but the bugger was pretty stubborn! I'm afraid to force it cause i dont want to break anything. thanks for your input guys.

hey guys, actually i found that i had to remove the amber lens from front of the housing to get to the bulb. the bulb is not removeable from the rear of the housing. I could not see a gasket inside the housing at all or a ring. It looks like the socket has rust on it. i tried the push twist method, but the bulb didnt move at all in any direction, including the movement of pushing it inward! Wow, never been so embarassed to change a silly turn signal bulb.

hey guys, went to change signal light bulbs today, but couldn't get the bulbs outta the housing... they look siezed in there. tried wd40, but no luck. Im afraid ill brak em if i force em too hard. suggestions? laterez

Hey guys, I've been going through my storage lately and found my VERY old rusty tool box. Going through the box, i just found all my Craftsman sockets! Unfortunately some of my 1/2" Drive sockets are missing in action. I recall when i bought the very large socket set, they just came in plastic bags in a cardboard box. Had i waited a few years, they probably would have come in a nice plastic molded case. Just curious how you guys store your tools, in and out of your pathys? What are your prefered brands of tools? Do you prefer plastic tool boxes over steel? comments and suggestions welcome!

guys, So i was looking for a place to mount my ham radio and i removed the plastic cover underneath the radio. Under the plastic cover was somekind of black electrical box with wires runnig into it from the right side of it. any ideas what this is? I want to remove/move it for my ham. Just ordered the transdapt PN #1213 from LORDCO. I guess i 'confused' them before when i said i needed one for a pathy. Apparently it says ford in their books or something. Was going to order a dual from summit until I got a quote for shipping and 'handling' fees. Duty at the border was unknown to them. BTW the dual at LORDCO was $82.00 in canadian funds; no shipping or 'handling costs either! Unfortunately im gonna have to wait for 4 weeks for it. Guess i'll be focusing my efforts on other pathy projects in the meantime! I might even get a chance to get to the trails! man i work too much!

Sorry 88 i didnt mean to cause offence man. I did see your posts on Summit and I wish there was an outlet here north of the border. I would buy from summit, but i want to avoid shipping, and duty on items shipped in from the US. I doubt i'd have any issues with the install, but you never know. laterez.

I googled fuel filter study, and found nothing. Reason why i asked, it that i picked up a fuel filter recently, and as i was getting ready to change it, i noticed it was a FRAM! I also noiticed that the current fuel filter on my pathy IS a FRAM! Looks like i've been Frammed again! Any thoughts? Suggestions? RANTS? " SAY NO TO FRAM! "

Hey Lurker, where did you get your relocation kit? Did you get it loacally or by netshopping? I live in vancouver, bc and NO ONE here can get single or duel kits... not even LORDCO, or NAPA! I'd like to buy one locally in case i have any install issues with it. Was it the Permacool#10795? thanks
