Looks like ALL the boneyards in town sell their locks to local insurace company. I think i called every yard in the pages. I guess the stealership will be robbing me this weekend! Grrr...

the diamond plate rocks! I suppose the sticker is meant to stick on the outside of the window, not the inside right? Can you pls send me an address where i can send a money order? thanks.

Well i'm interested. Can you make them in silver foil, like Chrome? Oh and it needs to stick to the outside of the window not the inside( I have black Limo tint on my windows). Looking foreward to seeing them!

I would really like to mount my gauges there, but am really unsure on how to proceed with taking the dash apart. I searched around but couldn't find dissasembly how to anywhere. *ponders* With any luck i can figure this out before i fix my glove box, and put it all back together at one time. It seems that nissan stealership really wants a bundle for a silly lock. I guess its boneyard for me 2morrow. laterez.

Hey Smithk, any luck with your clock light yet? I just lost mine yesterday We need to get together and get muddy sometime! Hello from NewWestminster!

just an update. i removed the bottom pins on the glovebox, and put a flat putty knife into the top of the box to open it. Broke the plastic lock 'striker' . with the box out, i found that the lock mechanism itself is trashed. Tumbler's wrecked. I turn the key, nothing happens.. the inside 'pins' don't move at all. If it wasnt for the fact that the lock keeps the door closed, i wouldnt even put a new lock on there at all.. Pathy gloveboxes were not meant for security! I guess im off the the boneyard to find a new striker and lock. Has anyone had any luck with a locksmith repairing the glovebox lock? Removing the box has also opened up the dash a bit for me to do an exploratory to find an area above the box for gauge placement. Looks like this will be a no go. Not much empty space up there, and to take the rest of the dash apart would be a nightmare! Too bad, i was looking foreward to drilling a few 2" holes and placing my new gauges there. laterz

I was looking at a Cobra 75WXST. It's prolly the smallest CB i've ever seen. All funtions and controls are in the mike itself. We have a lot of car theft issues here, so i thought this would be a great deterant. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...=ADME:B:SS:CA:1 any thoughts?

thanks GG. ill give it a try tomorrow.

Hey guys, i had a bit of a problem a few days ago.. i was pulled over by a cop, for a burnt out bulb, and couldn't open my glove box lock for my insurance papers! the lock does turn(kinda hardto turn), there's a clicking noise, but the box refuses to open! Anyway, i was lucky she just gave me a warning. I should've got here number, she was shweet! But she DID have a gun, so i didn't ask! Is there another way into it, from under the dash or something? I REALLY need those papers before something really bad happens. any thoughts before i get pissed off and rip it open? thanks for yer comments.

I never really thought of that 88. When i bought the truck it was serviced, and all the fluids had been checked off on the written report. I guess i'll climb under and give it a look. thanks 88. informative, as usual. and i guess ill drive it a bit 'harder' and see what happens.. thanks simon. thanks again guys.

Hey guys, I noticed, since i got my pathy(92,V6, 5spd), that when i shift into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th that i can hear a very low 'grumble like' sound when i hit the gas hard after the shift. It kinda hesitates for a second after the shift, when it 'growls'. When i'm at around 3k rpms, the engine sounds fine, and has lots of power. I shift around 2200 rpms. Am I shifting to low? I'm thinking its just my driving... hopefully. Or is something really bad going to happen soon? thanks.

I'm actually thinking of drilling holes for my after market gauges right into my passenger side dash, on the front face above the glove box. Can't think of any other good place to put em where they won't get ripped off... Anyone know what's behind the front face of the dash, above the glove box? Is there steel support behind there, or just plastic and foam? thoughts?

I was just looking at the spectre performance site. So what did you use for your intake? #8208 Universal Modular kit or #8075 Air flow sensor Mount 3" Chrome and a #8132 Cone air filter? sorry if i sem a bit slow, but im pretty new at this intake mod thing. thanks much.
-
Has anyone thought of putting in s fuel pressure gauge to monitor their fuel pump/fuel filter? If this can be done, where/how would the sensor be put in, between the pump and the engine? and what kind of sensor can be used? and would a special adaptor be required for the sensor? thanks guys.

After owning a chrysler daytona with an electric fan for 4 years, and all the fan electrical cr*p that came with it not working properly, I will NEVER switch to an electric fan again! But then again it WAS a chrysler... LOL! I was SOOO happy to get rid of it! And to think those STUPID traders gave me $700 bucks for it! SUCKERS! As a matter of fact, when i went looking for a pathy, that was the third thing i checked for. Now... I can't get enough of my Pathy! see you aon the trails! al

Guess ive just had some bad luck finding bulbs. i went to 3 stores yesterday, and they didnt have any in stock. I guess it was 'change bulbs day' in vancouver! Oh well, mabye next week. im also looking for the REALLY SMALL bulb that goes inside the idiot lights, not the dash gauges. cant seem to find those either. a dealer item perhaps? laterez!
-
So with ALL THAT stuff on your lists... what do you store it all in? I picked this .50 caliber military ammo box up. i cant fit the hilift, or the big stuff in it, but its water tight! I'm still looking for a way to attach it to the deck of the pathy. somekind of lockable rail system(theft is way bad in vancouver). That way i can leave it at home when im using my truck locally. I'm currently looking at somekind of U Channel rail, but haven't decided yet. cheers! al

thanks redpath... the forums so big i miss things sometimes! al

ok. very cool. led's? What kind of LEDs do i get, and how do i wire them in? the stock 'wedge' bulbs are terrible, and not easy to find.. seems they're not a stock item on store shelves these days thanks for the info. al

>>>>> "I bought some Ford Bronco coils for my Pathfinder today. They are 2" lifted coils." Jim, What year Bronco did the springs come from? thanks, al

WHEW! And here i thought i was losing my mind or something! So without the light, i guess when things go wrong... i depend on the idiot lights then, eh? Looks like i'll be putting a gauge cluster in soon. My voltmeter is bad (ALWAYS reads 18v, checked at battery with engine running:14v) Really Annoying. I think my temp gauge isn't working right either, unless its supposed to read at about 25% when running. Engine must run pretty cool! Does the temp gauge read H2O temp or Oil Temp? An oil Pressure gauge add on is a must i think. BTW... when installing this, do i need to splice into the oil pressure light switch already there, or add another switch? I want to have both the light and the gauge for Oil Pressure. I picked up a new 2" voltmeter for $10 CDN yesterday. Still considering where to mount it. I thought about mounting it on the ceiling to the left of the rear view mirror? thanks for your quick replies. any and all input ALWAYS appreciated! cheers! Al

Hey Guys, I just picked up an aftermarket voltmeter for my '92 Pathy.... the stock dash one was crap! Just curious as to who might have aftermarket gauges in their rigs, and where they mounted them? I was thinkin of drilling holes in the dash on the passenger side above the glovebox, but i don't think i'll like the gauges at that angle.. difficult to see them there. Pics appreciated! thanks, al vancouver,bc canada
