  1. Nissan Motorsport provided a carb dor the VG30 a long time ago when they were racing that engine. It required a new intake manifold as well but they are no longer available.
  2. Aluminum corrodes but it does not rust. Rust refers only to iron and steel corrosion. Aluminum is actually very prone to corrosion. However, aluminum corrosion is aluminum oxide, a very hard material that actually protects the aluminum from further corrosion. Aluminum oxide corrosion also looks a lot more like aluminum, so it isn't as easy to notice as rusted iron. When iron corrodes the color changes and it actually expands. This expanding and color change can produce large red flakes that we all know as rust. Unlike aluminum oxide, the expanding and flaking off of rust exposes new metal to further rusting.
  3. Is there any sort of codes being given by the computer?
  4. Ignition misfire usually leads to need new distributor..... Is it possible that you have been driving though large water puddles or parking over an automatic sprinkler head? Is there some post ignition burning in the exhaust manifolds (loud popping sound) Seen this before almost sounds like water/condensation in the distributor cap....
  5. That is a very expensive mirror.... Never done it, cant think why you couldnt though with enough thought and time put into it.
  6. I think we need a whole thread in the picture section of dogs riding in Pathys!
  7. Your linkage needs adjusting or the gear syncronyzer between 3rd and 2nd is worn out. Either way it will probalby get worse with time.
  8. Yes. IIRC WD21 is 7/8 inch and R50 is 1" stock. I definately know they are completely different parts numbers from Nissan. I should also add that these aftermarket sway bars are only adding like 1/8 inch in diameter over stock. Not sure if it will make a sizable difference for $200 plus new bushings plus time. I can still get the NISMO 1" front sway bar for the WD21 4WD with manufacturing dates up to 7/87.
  9. ADDCO still makes the 1" front sway bar for the WD21 which is the same size as the old Nismo ones. They also have 1 1/8" for the R50
  10. Incidental is correct..... VQ35DE/AT 14010-4W10A MANUFACTURING DATE 06/01-END VQ35DE/MT 14010-4W020 MANUFACTURING DATE 01/00-END Two different parts based on if it is manual or auto. In addition, 14010-4W10A supercedes to 14010-4W10B. I have read about this issue many times on here, yet we have never had a vehicle in here with this issue.
  11. looks like 2 small bolts on each side of the block
  12. It was hot. It was getting dark. After fidgiting with the back door pin for 20 minutes i finally just grabbed the wire and disconnected it. That was 3 months ago. Maybe I will fix it one day, but I dont miss the light as much as I thought I would. If I ever need it, I can just reach up top and turn it on manually.
  13. I would add that it is a direct fit. Took me about 1 1/2 hours to get the old one off and put the new one on. (have a lift though, saves time) Most of the time was taken getting the old one off after being on there for 12-13 years. Has a nice prrr to it (esp on the highway, can put you to sleep) without sounding abnoxiously loud. They also have that million mile warranty, since it is stainless steel. Smaller and lighter too than stock.
  14. I was very pleased with my Borla.
  15. Manual Transmission with manufacturing date of 08/89 to 10/95 use the same TPS. Same for Auto Trans. All auto trans from 08/89 to 10/95 use the same TPS. Auto and manual trans use different part numbers for the TPS so the connectors may be different. So..... find one in the date range and same transmission type as yours and they should use the same connector.
  16. Yep what fleurys said that is a full set for the front
  17. Code P0325 is the knock sensor which is a pain to get to. I would suspect that it may be causing the other two codes to come up. (P0151 and P0131) You have one of two things going on witht he knock sensor, either there is a bad/corroded wire or plug at the sensor, or the knock sensor is bad and needs to be replaced.
  18. thats exactly what I did. I put a 200w Alpine in the back behind the trim. It was the right diminesions so that it fit perfectly.
  19. sounds like they were replaced then with non-adjustable.
