  1. Yes that's it! Thank you so much! And sorry, forgot there was turbo stuff in there, it was a while ago. Thanks again though!
  2. No it was a link to an article on a web page talking about the difference between long and short headers, the different kinds of headers and which designs are better, which design of cat is better, and stuff about mufflers. It was very informative but I can't find it. It even talked about the diff between exhaust backpressure and exhaust velocity. I know someone here posted it, but like I said, I just can't find it now.
  3. I have the interior spare and put my box with a 12" sub in it up against the seat and the spare with the sub facing back. I figured I'd try to keep it on the side where space was already taken to leave more room on the other side.
  4. Mine's a maroon color, or "burgandy" maybe, but everyone calls it red, so I just checked that on the poll, stupid people influencing my decisions... hehe
  5. I ran across a link to a real good article about exhaust and headers and stuff, I think it was a subaru page. If you know where it is or who posted it, I'd like to know because I want to read it again and show it to my dad. I know about search, and tried it several times but could not find it. So please don't yell at me but if you can help me find that (the link or the thread or whatever), I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  6. Since the guy didn't have time to put the high flow cat in, I was wondering if I could try to fab something up and weld it in place. Would this be worth the trouble? I'm looking for gas milage, sound and power, probably in that order, milage most important, etc...
  7. Interesting, I think I'll have to look into this Jacob's thing. Thanks for the info.
  8. Man, that supercharged pathy has a mean rumble to it! Wonder what kind of exhaust he's running, i saw headers but not sure what kind. Wish my rig sounded like that!
  9. Is that jacobs ignition the same as an msd just a different brand or are those two different things?
  10. Ya, I have an automatic. And the price was what made me go with pacesetter. I figured any after market header was better than stock and the price was something I can afford. All in all, I'm happy with them, now to see if my gas milage improves...
  11. I'll try to get some picks in the next few days.
  12. Well, I finally got my truck back today. Everything is installed except the high flow cat which did not fit. The guy only charged me $150 for the install which isn't too bad. It sounds pretty good, but it's not as loud as I was expecting. But I got them more for power and better milage than noise. I kind of wish I went with thorley now that I read all this, but live and learn, I think these headers will do ok though. I might try to weld that high flow cat in later, but for now, I'm just glad to have my truck back in one piece.
  13. The studs that came out looked brand new and shiny, but i don't know if they were the good one, but only one broke so... Not sure about the easy out, don't know much about those.
  14. So I got the pace setter headers and the gibson cat back for my 95 and took it to a place because I don't have the space/tools to do it. I was there for 5 hours and the headers weren't even on yet! They fit so tight it was a big pain, and then the guy had to take a stud out on the passenger side to get the header to fit and the stud broke! So he drilled it, put an easy out in and the easy out broke! So he kept it there over night and it's still not done today! He said the headers are on but the bung for the exhast sensor was too small so he had to tap it out! Hopefully it will all be done tomorrow and I won't be broke from labor charges, he said he wouldn't charge me too much though. Any one else have this kind of grief with pacesetter or any other headers? Well, I'm done griping for now i guess.
  15. Ha ha ha!! That's pretty good. Alright I get the point, no electric supercharger. Thanks for the advice and info guys I really appreciate it. Hopefully this will help others in the future too, if they can use the search function that is...
  16. I was a bit confused when I bought my XE because it has tons of options. the chrome looking wheels, power locks, power windows, alarm, rear wiper, it's pretty nice. I wish I had fog lamps, stock roof rack and that rear air deflector thing. But all in all, my xe is equipped pretty nice.
  17. I've got headers too, guess I worded that wrong. I have new headers, high flow cat and cat back exhaust, pretty much all aftermarkert exhaust.
  18. Well, I already did the custom k&n cone filter thing and have caustom header-back exhaust. I was just looking into some other options for power with out sacrificing gas milage. Thanks for the input.
  19. I was browsing around for an air intake tube for my 95 pathy and stumbled across electric superchargers. Anyone know if they are worth the time/money? Seems like a good idea, seems like an electric fan/compressor you put in you intake after the maf and it says it runs 1psi of boost or 1.7 on a more expensive one. Like I said, seems like it could work in theory, just thought I'd see what you guys thought. Thanks.
  20. I don't know if you already got the pathy running, but mine mysteriously died once and turned out my computer crapped out. I had to get a new one, luckily the warranty i had covered the $900 so I got lucky. Hope this isn't your problem, but thought I'd just throw my 2 cents in.
  21. The only reason I might not do the ecu upgrade is that I would have to sacrifice my already questionable milage for a power gain. That's why I liked the idea of the module I can turn on and off. Plus it's about half the price. But you do get what you pay for most of the time, so I'll have to weigh my options.
  22. It might be me. Just have to save some extra cash!
  23. That sounds just crazy enough to work! j/k Thanks, I'll give that a try.
  24. I have the exact same problem with my 95 and haven't found any known causes or fixes. Hopefully someone knows something.
