  1. Thanks! and thats a good idea about using the marker light wire to power the other side, I might do that.
  2. Hey guys I've started working on building a front bumper for my truck and today I relocated my turn signals to my marker lights next to the head lights. I first took my existing turn signal housing and cut off the fixture that holds the light bulb out with a hacksaw flush to the housing itself to give enough room to retro fit it in the marker light housing. The next thing I did was use a hole saw to drill a hole the same size as the light bulb fixture (I can't remember the exact size I used). Make sure you don't put too much pressure on the drill when you are drilling out the hole or you will damage the lens by hitting it with the drill bit. After I got the hole drilled, I placed the light bulb fixture in the hole with most of it sticking out (enough to glue or "plastiweld" it in.) Once I had the fixture where I wanted it, I used my version of "plastiwelding" to adhere the fixture in the housing. How I do it is I use a soldering iron to melt a groove between the crack of the two plastics then fold in some of the melted plastic on each side of the groove into the groove itself. You can also use epoxy to glue it in place but I didn't feel like waiting for glue to dry so thats why I "plastiwelded" it. After "Plastiweld" I used some rubberized undercoating to seal off the bead to keep out any moisture. Make sure you tape off the hole for the light bulb or you will get some over spray inside the lens (I used a small piece of duct tape). After this all I had to do was reroute the old turn signal wires to where the marker lights are and plug it in and mount it. Finished product! I went out to the auto parts store to buy some amber bulbs because the lens is clear. The only downside to this that I can see is that you will lose the little marker lights that are originally in the spot but it doesn't really bother me too bad. I just thought I would share this because I haven't seen another thread on this. Let me know what you guys think!
  3. Beautiful QX4! I love those wheels they are similar to mine but mine are black. Where did you get that NISMO decal?
  4. This sounds like it has to be some sort of sensor. I have a 97 manual trans but mine idles the same whether it is in gear or not.
  5. This is probably your best bet especially if your suspension components need to be replaced. In my experience for my truck, in order to be level, you need more height in the front than the rear. If you don't need a whole lot of lift but want your truck to have a little more clearance in the front or just look better you may want to consider just putting a spacer in the front. When I first put my spacer lift on two years ago, the truck had a massive rake. In the rear you can fit a 31" tire with the stock height, the front will scrub without a spacer or lift coil. This is just my two cents but I would defiantly go ahead and replace the wore or broken suspension components then decide what you want to do about a lift. Good Luck!
  6. http://www.4x4parts.com/i-20759789-pathfinder-front-lift-spacers.html I don't know if anyone is running these but these will be the ones I get when I get my SFD.
  7. They are the ones that will give you 2" of lift. They are 1.5" tall but it is supposed to give 2" due to the geometry like you said. If I have them I will take some pictures of them and send them to you.
  8. I believe I still have mine from when I switched over to AC coils (which I would not recommend). They are the 1.5" instead of the 2" but I will look and see if I still have them.
  9. Hi all my sister has an 01 R50 and she just recently was in a minor wreck. Anyhow, the wreck caused the side curtain airbag in the front driver seat to deploy. Does anyone know where the sensor is in the seat?
  10. Not that I know of, Ive bought them and used them and they have been fine.
  11. Wow thats awesome! I got 11-13 before and I hope to get better with the hubs. I guess being geared 4.63 doesn't help fuel mileage.
  12. Got the hubs on and what a difference in ride quality! The steering is a lot less sloppy and seems to ride better. I would recommend these hubs to anyone looking to get some. They are super easy to put on and are really heavy duty. I will check the fuel mileage and report that also.
  13. Finally got some hubs, plan on putting them on this weekend!
  14. No it had to come out. The springs are just too powerful. Its not that bad of a job though just take them out and use spring compressors to compress the spring and then rotate the spring. Took me about 3 hours total and i'm a slow worker.
  15. t Finally got my strut towers rotated, made a huge difference! Thanks to everyone to helped me out on this!
  16. Well i'm sure some people here use them, I would have to add an additional strut spacer with the ome to compensate for the 2" in the rear to prevent a rake.
  17. Do the ome springs provide 2" of lift like the AC ones?
  18. I know what you mean about the springs, mine are installed correctly and they still ride rough but I spent a good bit on them and I no longer have my old ones.
  19. Ive heard good things about Mastercraft tires.
  20. Thanks you so much hawairish, that is all I needed to know!
  21. I DONT WANT TO HAVE MY CV's AT AN ANGLE. Sorry for the confusion. I should have written that better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
