  5. Maybe I missed the in-depth discussion about gears....could you be so kind as to point me in the right direction? Matthew
  6. How close do they need to be???...I thought that there is some tolerance in gear ratios not being exaclty the same.
  7. My 87 Pathfinder (C200/R180A) came with 4.6 gear ratio. I believe that some HardBody trucks and Pathfinders came with the H233/R200A 4.6 gear combo. Also some or the early model Xterra's came with the H233/R200A and 4.9 gear ratio. Matthew
  8. I plan to use "the same old axle".....my goal is a better IFS than what we currently have or what is available now while keeping cost WELL BELOW the price of a sas. I do not know if this is possible, however, i will explore the options anyway. Matthew
  9. MTO is who i have been talking to.....we have been tossing around ideas for a month or two now....i just need to wait for them to get some more time.
  10. Marcel - Glad things are on the up and UP! Count me in on the full set of skids!!! PM me payment instructions if you would please. thank you! Matthew
  11. ***FEELER*** I have contacted a local suspension fabrication shop about making some new UCAs for my 1987 Pathfinder. I also expressed interest in removing my torsion bars and replacing them with some coil-overs!!! My goal is to do something like the TrailMaster suspension lift setup but remove the unpleasant side effect of the lowering of the torsion bars. I am looking for two things: 1.) Suggestions…. Any suggestions would be really helpful. 2.) Anyone else interested in this??? I do not have an idea of prices as of yet, however, this is just to see if anyone is interested in the idea. Matthew
  12. During the week is not good for me. (class and work) Any weekend is good!
  13. I reciently did the 3inch BL on my 87 and the only things that i extended were the steering fluid res. line and the actual steering shaft. NO gas lines at all. Matthew
  14. The body lift made a huge difference in terms of the ammount of tire i can clear. $100.00 I will have removed my sway bars $0.00 New wheels with more back-spacing to reduce tire rub $160.00 there are a few..... Matthew Fort Collins
  15. I am planning to swap a H233B into the rear of my pathfinder with 4.88 gears that i am in the process of buying. I also am working on getting some 4.88 gears for my C200 then the idea is doing as GrimGreg said "combining D44 knuckles with the H233b (in my case it will be a C200) center" Is there another gear issue to deal with? Matthew
  16. I will be exploring this topic fairly soon. I plan to use the C200 out of the rear of my 87 Pathfinder as a Solid Front Axle. The issues are: 1.)$$$$$ 2.)$$$$$ 3.) See 1 and 2 4.) The "pumpkin" needs to be "moved" to the drivers side. (If I remember correctly.) Running a solid axle with the "pumpkin" in the middle leads to it smacking other stuffs I will let you know how my adventure pans out. Matthew
  17. You also have to decide weather or not you love to build cars. (there is always something to fix, however i mean actually modify and build.) I enjoy fixing and building my pathfinder. I would never by something already build, that to me, defeats the purpose. Decide wich you love more, the car or building the car. If it is the building and fixing.....sell it. If you just plain love your car, keep it! Matthew
  18. Silver '87 2 door 5spd V6 205K miles (smokes ) listed in 80526 for $700.00 mostlikely take $500.00 Matthew
  19. Quote: Does this apply to the transmission that was used with the 4cyl engines??? Does the TSB apply for the 4cyl engine transmission? Are the 4cyl trannys the same as the v6? I figured the that Gl-4 issue applies to it anyway. Matthew
  20. Another Colorado Pathfinder....SWEET!!!! Matthew
  21. I am up for another mod day....I have plenty of things to work on. Check out RoninWheelers.com and maybe we can get together and have a Nissanpathfinders.com/RoninWheelers.com mod day. More people = more help = more fun = more beer it just keeps getting better!!! Matthew
  22. Does this apply to the transmission that was used with the 4cyl engines??? I believe that they are the same tranny but i wanted to ask anyway!!! I have both a V6 and a 4cyl Pathfinder and wonder if both need to be done or just one of them. Also would using a synthetic hurt the as both of them have over 225K on the odo??? Thanks Matthew
  23. After installing a 3 inch body lift, my steering wheel squeaks when i turn. Is there something that I need to lube or fix? Thanks! Matthew
