  1. been there, done that plus its even more frusterating when your trying to back out of a snow covered trail and your reverse gear isnt that strong. also trying to drive around a tight spot in reverse and your front tires cant get traction to turn..... yah its a little difficult.
  2. if your pathy has an auto transmission it may be possible that the fluid is low. or the egr valve could possibly be stuck open.
  3. taking measurements for building a roof rack for the pathy. after the roof rack is done ill move onto making some rock sliders.
  4. Anyone planning on taking there Nissan's to GoneMoab this year?

  5. so far have new ebc rotors and new Hawk OES pads on the front. the braking power seem to have improved. I really like on how well their working so far. and I would suggest them to other people. but keep in mind replacing the rotors on the front of the pathfinders are a little difficult at first if you have never done them before. so far the rotors where ( EBC Brake Rotors - Ultimax OE Style Disc Kit (RK620) and the brake pads. ( Hawk OES (Original Equipment Service) Brake Pads (770333) the rotors are a little pricey but seem to work well even in high heat loads.
  6. I live near the denver area. and was wondering if there are any good trails open during the winter or if they are all to snow covered to drive through.
  7. I've just started running one of the rancho rs5000 steering stabilizer after rebuilding the steering and suspension. I did notice a much better feel when I go off road and on the street.

Definitely upgrade the torsion bars! I just had both of mine fail! (But I'm sure going fast enough to catch air a few months ago didn't help!)

  13. just found one today at the JY from an 2002 xterra. but sadly i accidentally snapped my retaining hooks on my sun roof i guess ill need to search for a solution.
  14. just put some fresh cooper st maxx on my pathy. it rinds way better now. all that is left to do is see how she handles offroading with fresh tires.

  15. bought my 95 wd21 (black ) for $900 has only 167,889 when i bought it last year. now it has 188k with a few added dents from the trail riding.
  16. Well this is going to be a fun one to chase down. I have now accuired a new electrical problem.. there is a short going on some where in the pathfinder causing my turn singnals to fail and give off a buzzing noise when activated.. PS the Fuse keeps blowing so there is a short.

  17. washed the pathy yesterday. I Forgot how clean she used to look. then I put some frame coater on hopefully that helps to slow down the rusting of the frame.

  18. so one of my questions would be. how much power would i get out of the old vg30e motor if I redo the Entire exhaust system and change out the cams for a larger one ( If available ) . or Should i go out and pick up a VG33E motor and build up on that.
  19. could be a couple of bad thing clogged fuel injectors, weak fuel pump. clogged fuel filter. or possibly the valve cams slipped a tooth on the timing belt.
  20. went out 4wheeling yesterday a day later checked on the vehicle and noticed that Both the UCA's destroyed my front rancho rs5000 shocks. :(

  21. iff i do remember correctly i think i was reading somewhere when someone said that the bore size for the pathfinder is a 100mm
  22. I haven't had any offroad nightmares so far. but i have had one inconvenience while out on a trail here in Colorado. was out wheeling with just me and a couple of friends. was doing some moderate speed around 20 mph over small rocks. when I slowed down to about 10 mph going over larger rocks. I felt the pathfinder to start wondering around and going up and down all over the place. so I looked out the driver side window and saw the driver side tire just start turning by itself with no input. i realized that I had to stop the vehicle and check out the problem. it turned out that the castle nut for the outer tie rod snapped the cotter pin and disappeared. I was stuck for about 20 minutes to figure out a solution. I remembered that Japanese vehicles tend to use the same size bolt for many of the parts. well I figured out that one of the wheel lug nuts will fit on the tie rod with close to the same pitch. so I used the wheel lug nut to hold the tie rod in place. was able to get back home. which was about a 67 mile drive through the canyon.
  23. just took the WD21 out 4wheeling today. had a fun time. will be at it again next Sunday
