  1. you would probably want a wheel that has a little more Backspacing then 4.5 the wheels on my rig are 4.0BS
  2. interested in this new snorkel idea. Ohyeah and the back looks great also!! I am considering building a rear cargo platform just don't know if I want to make the plunge!
  3. Sorry I think I must have read your post wrong at first. Those tires/wheels should fit fine without any rubbing, it would be just like your stock setup for the most part. Just a little wider wheel that's all, for some reason i thought you had mentioned bigger tires in your post. Here is a picture of my truck currently on 265/75/16's
  4. I would say yes you will have some rubbing issues.
  5. depends on how your current suspension is sitting. In my case my rear coils were super saggy so i could mount my wheels/tires and they would fit, but any major bumps or weight in the back would make the tire scrape. In the front the wheels would rub the front bumper without any trimming with the 265/75/16's. So as far as right now the rear of the pathfinder is lifted and the front remains stock height. I trimmed the front bumper and removed the front portion of the splash guards and put the wheels/tires on and drove it around the block. Minimal rubbing in the front but that will be eliminated once the front is lifted up.
  6. damn that website has so much more going on then this one!
  7. might have to give it a couple more hours if the company is based in AUS.
  8. Yeah I have the huge rake currently till I can put my front lift on the truck. But AC sells the .5 springs also the ones on my truck are the 2" lift coils. But to answer your question the problem is most likely the coils in the rear. My truck was saggy and hitting the bumpstops over every little bump in the road. I replaced the shocks and the problem remained. Then I went with the coils, no more problem.
  9. we can make that happen!!! And this is why it will sit in the driveway till I can fix it. I refuse to drive it around looking like that haha
  10. They do, it's a heavy duty one. He said he had no problems compressing the coil, they just fugged up on the nut I guess...
  11. I have new Monroe Strut-Mate strut mounts that include the spacer so I will make sure that this is used this next time. I don't know exactly what had happened since I wasn't at the shop nor did I do it myself. I didn't have a higher end spring compressor that's why I figured a garage would have no problem doing it. We will see with this next go around. Hopefully it all works out and I can install the fronts and my wheels/tires taking up space in my house.
  12. So I have confirmed that I have the correct springs and the measurements are correct. I have spoken with Mike from 4x4parts.com so it looks like it is indeed the mechanics fault on this one. I will have to stop by there sometime today and see what he has to say, I want a new strut out of this.
  13. I just want to know the dimensions on the coils from 4x4parts.com to insure that I have the correct size. If anybody knows please post up. If it is the correct coil then it looks like I am beat out of a strut.. And I will go elsewhere to have them assembled.
  14. looks like the measurements on the springs I have are 7inch (thickest/bottom) 6inches (top) and 16 1/2 long...
  15. Ok, Like I have promised here are some pictures. I don't have a picture of the two springs next to each other not compressed but this is what I have. Here is a picture of the springs next to each other. Clearly inches longer... Here is a couple pictures of the stripped strut. And a picture of how the truck currently sits.
  16. Yeah in a way I am glad this happened now while it wasn't on the vehicle, I couldn't imagine what could of happened if I was driving while this happened.
  17. I am just worried about the length.. or the density of the new coils since it was in a new batch from 4x4parts.com I will get the measurements as soon as I can.
  18. Yeah I hit refresh and started typing... I guess I'm just frustrated and now I am taking it out on my work computer.. My co-workers must think I am actually working haha Yeah 4x4parts.com is located in Pompano Beach, Fl which is a little north of Miami (where I am)
