Luckily the spring did't hurt anybody or damage the truck since it was mounted in the wheel well at the time of the burst. I will have measurements and pictures up shortly. Like I said earlier the front struts were being put together by a reputable shop in the area due to the fact I could not compress the spring myself. Rear's went on without hassle... I will be leaving work soon to head over to the shop I will then have pics/measurements.

I got them right from 4x4parts.com I am getting pictures and everything together and will give them a call in the morning (if not goto the shop since it's 40mins from me). I also had to wait an additional 2 weeks to get these front coils since they ran out of the front's. So these were freshly made and shipped to me, I am thinking that these have to be the wrong coils. I will be taken all measurements also... BTW does anybody know the measurements of the AC coils so I can compare mine? Thanks in advance. so frustrating...

edit on this.. front coil was compressed to fit the strut.. minutes later the tension was so much that it stripped the top nut off the strut and stripped the strut threads completely and shot off. Now I am sitting with a lift in the rear only... And am down one brand new KYB strut.. this is a mess...

Yeah I am taking it to a buddies garage with more adequate tools tomorrow or Monday I will have updated information and pictures then. Sorry for the delay on info/pictures. Basically the width of the strut mount is not wide enough for the spring if that makes any sense? Could be an error on my side I had to stop and get back to work so I will attempt this again either later tonight or this weekend. I am not used to the spring/strut assembly as I only have worked on my honda with full bodied coilovers which we all know is super easy. (and safer) haha

I have just run into a problem while trying to assemble my front coils onto my new struts and strut mounts. The strut is the correct part number as is the Monroe top strut mount but yet the mount will not clear the top of the coil. Has anybody run into this problem before?? I am thinking that maybe I was shipped the wrong coils? I can take pictures to show what I am talking about if necessary. Any comments or ideas will help thanks

yeah I came out of work one day and saw that, let's just say I wasn't happy.

Put on my wheels/tires and they fit at stock height I just can't turn or hit any bumps.. So it sits in the driveway till the lift arrives.

not sure yet I will be driving up to 4x4parts in pompano beach to get the coils so I am going to see how much the shop charges to install.. If it's worth me not sweating and laying on hot pavement all day I will have them do it.

I haven't looked into it yet I know I am slacking but I had an issue with my wiper relay and had to fix that first then I had the phillies/marlins game then went kayaking yesterday since it was so nice out. Hopefully my struts come in today/tomorrow so I can get this thing lifted then have the tires mounted and getting dirty by this weekend.

Well if you ever want to go out let me know. I live a little south in Palmetto Bay and I usually go down off carsound rd in key largo/florida city area. Tons of trails back there from mud pits to prairie dry land. I also go back behind homestead prison so let me know I usually go alone also and I was stock with mud tires in the rear only.. Now I will be lifted with bigger rubber so I can try more haha..

I was thinking about just taking them to Tire Kingdom since it's 2 blocks from my house but doesn't look like they have this machine. But from that link you included it looks like a couple places near my work have it. Do you notice this and how much more is it? And I also see you are in Cutler Bay, same here my friend.

got my wipers and overhead display working again and also installed my westin front lights!

yeah I will have them mounted hopefully this weekend and I am dropping my rig off at 4x4parts.com to have the lift installed hopefully early next week.

I just ordered some 16x8 wheels from summit and some 265/75/16 general grabber at2's. I'm pumped hopefully they will look straight.

thanks guys for the quick feedback. I was unsure if you could get the 16's with a 3.75 BS cause when I was doing a quick scan i only saw 15's but no worries. Thanks again!
