  1. Sorry to ask...what is the FSM? something service manual right? RR Posted by Samsung Galaxy S3
  2. I don't like the lights on. My OCD showing.
  3. I should prob mention this...we went around a corner where it is kind of wash boards and rattled the truck pretty hard...then both the Brake and ABS came on at the same time. Does that info help? Could a gravel rock have hit the ABS speed sensor on the diff? I took a look at it...it looked fine. And btw they are pretty pricy. The fact that both came on at the same time has me scratching my head.
  4. i sure hope I make it home from the ranch...makes me a tad nervous now...I already shot another deer today so I don't need to do anything but tinker and have some crown.
  5. ok, a few more notes yere. Is it possible that the ABS plug I see is for the ABS control module computer just like ODB1 port it is next too? Also, when I get in the car, there is a BEEP BEEB BEEB outside the ding ding ding from Nissan. When I take the ABS fuse out the lights stay on. When I put it back in and restart, the ABS light goes out, then 5 sec later it comes back steady . Lastly, i checked the battery, it was low on water. So I filled it up some. I suspect that the bake fluid is pretty old.
  6. update...I did add some fluid to the resovoir. It was about half an inch below max. Still brake light and abs light on, gonna go check on a feeder and drive down to the back of the ranch, back in a bit.
  7. I did find these two open plugs...based on hayes book...the smaller one is the "control wire" for the abs system...why would it be unplugged? Posted by Samsung Galaxy S3
  8. man you lost me. It isn't the ABS is what you saying? Do you think that b/c both the "brake" (red) light and the Yellow ABS came on at the same time when I hit some rough section of dirt road? I only see 2 wires going into the master cylinder. They look cheap and flemlsy
  9. Yessir...full hot Posted by Samsung Galaxy S3
  10. Hey guys...at ranch...went down gravel road and abs and brake light came on...sorry I couldnt search...very klow net speeds.... Thoughts? Suggestions Rr Posted by Samsung Galaxy S3
  11. I know this is an old thread is it still live? I have a few questions. My pathy has some interesting wiring that I could use some help with
  12. Man I thought I had this figured out. My ride has 3 wires from the left rear and 2 wires from the right rear. I figured it was a 4-way trailer switch....brakes, turn left, turn right, haxard. I forgout abour "running lights" so am I a total douche and this is really a 5-way and not a 4 way If so, does anyone really know the colors and functions of those rear wires so I can sire a new trailer plug? RR
  13. can you snap a photo so I can see how you use it?
  14. I like your style. My dog Pistol doesn't have thumbs. So I am kind of in a bind here.
  15. good news.. Timing was off 4 degrees, they cleaned the throttle body, Mass airflow sensor and they said it is running perfect now. Good news.
  16. no worries, I didn't take that post the wrong way not at all. I really want to drive this thing to the ranch this weekend, (its 3 hours away) but really worred about the timing belt. The thought of me hitch hiking with a side arm, AR-15 and a 30.06....and my dog makes my nervous. "Hey thanks for the ride, do you mind if I get my guns out of my truck?" LOL
  17. They did a NOID and OHM test on them....2 were out of spec so they replaced. Trust me, i am in the DIY club but I didn't want to remove all that stuff to get to the injectors. I too am in Texas, just down the road from McKinny....I do have my vin number so I will call him Tuesday. The other thing I told the shop was, if they "think" the ECM is bad, I am telling htem to not swap it...i will do that myself but only AFTER I check the codes based on the link above, that is super helpful.
  18. man I did a ECM search and didn't find anything so thanks for the link They didn't check yet.
  19. This 93 is staring to become a little money pit I dropped the Pathy at my shop to find and replace any bad injectors...#1 and #3 were bad and replaced...truck still is miss firing. They asked me if they could keep another day and have their master tech look at it...i said ok....they also mentioned that it "could" be my ECM and it may need to be replaced. How off base is this line of thinking? I called Courtesey Nissan and they have 2 ECM's for my truck siting there, looks like a 30 min job of swaping out. Could this really be the problem of it missing? It idles fine, where you feel it is holding a certain speed or throtle poistion for a long time...you feel it kind of hesiate or miss, apply more fuel and it goes away. Thoughts on that?
  20. I am a non smoker, but wondering if you could pull out the ash tray and mod it to a cup holder? Or if there i a current mod out there.
  21. If you find something please let me know. Thanks
  22. BikerJared, Auto Detailing Clay is designed to prep the surface for polish, correction or wax. It removes surface and embedded contaminiantes so that you are not grinding them further into the paint. It is used with a slick solution (QD, called Quick Deailer or "lube") you rub it on the surface with the proper amount of lube so it doesn't grab . In this case, I had to chemically clean the surface prior to claying. Hope this helps.
  23. WTH? What a goofy cup holder idea...open the center console but then the arm rest become useless. Is there any options or ideas for adding a cup holder or two? RR
  24. Thanks man, I only put 20 hours in the paint and detail. I could have put another 20 in it easily.
