  1. I figure they're just doing their bit to keep the past alive. I grant you the presenter comes over as a bit of a prat though.. Thank god America saved everyones bacon
  2. Ahh! maybe it is.. I hope you're right and there's one more Patrol in the world.
  3. I know what it is, i know what it is !
  4. Garret Tb25 maybe. I have read about people swapping around turbos but I don't recall the specifics. The vast majority of NPORA members have never seen a TD27, you'll be better off searching on http://www.navara.asia . There is alot of good td27 info and personal experiences on that there forum.
  5. Mmm, that new tyre smell.

  6. ah Ha! Investigation over. I've not know a car do this before. There's enough wiring updates and mystery switches by prev owners to get me feeling cautious. Unless... your ride is haunted too.
  7. Be afraid my friend, very afraid. Darkness surrounds you !
  8. It is dark. You are sat in your car. The key is not in the ignition. The lights are turned off. The hand brake is engaged. Your foot presses the brake pedal. What do you see in your rear view mirror?
  9. Fats Domino - Blueberry Hill http://www.youtube.com/embed/bQQCPrwKzdo
  10. Got to love Fronteras. For anyone not familiar, this was the swb. They're usually a 2.0 petrol with the odd 2.8td and even rarer 2.5td kicking around.. What put me off having another was the massive metal pillar behind the doors blocked alot of view, plus the 2.0 being pretty damn guttless.
  11. It's definitely got a following. Probably limited due our size and ever increasing 'no go' areas, but it's definitely here. Land Rovers being the most popular choice. This camo WD21 looks to be more show pony than off roader. Plus, those tyres have probably done 'less than 1000miles' because you'd get pulled over as soon as the cops saw how much they stick out Kudos to the effort they put in. I hope the new owner becomes a NPORA member.
  12. Rummaging around on UK ebay and found this WD21 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281099648438?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 Looks like someones spent alot of time and money on it..
  13. Interestingly, a 1.25mm thread may well have been stronger option than a 1.5mm. What got me thinking about this is the amount of land cruiser owners who break wheel studs. An extended 1.5mm must be sufficient though, or they wouldnt sell 'em, right? http://www.boltscience.com/
  14. To get some toyota wheels to fit on a nissan, you'll need to switch lug type and it can be a complete ball ache trying to find nuts with the correct shank to match nissans m12 1.25 thread. Also, some toyota are hub centric and not lug centric, which is something else to consider when some toyota are 108mm centre bore and pathfinders 100mm.. It's all solvable though edit- toyota might be 112mm actually? definitely not 100mm anyway.
  15. Instead of finding a td27 head could you get the gasket and see if that lined up nice with your buddies manifold? There's a Navara forum out there that's a good resource for the td27. If it all goes ahead, it'll be great to hear how it changes changes the performance, keep us informed
  16. That is some good news. A 1988 anything with electric windows would have been a huge luxury over here, would almost be worth wiring in. Refitting doorcards is usually the biggest ball break on this type of job.
  17. Just looking to confirm some similarities. I've got a 1991 3door and have found a 1988 d21 (hardbody) being broken for parts. From what I've read and seen the d21 had a bit of a facelift in 92/93 involving dash/grill and fenders. Am I right in thinking the doors are unchanged and should fit a 3door? A thread specific for part interchangeability could be a great help to many people
  18. Give someone enough money and they could cannibalise the old steps in half decent sliders or make you a bespoke set up in a jiffy.
  19. Within a kit, are all the blocks the same size? Cheers
  20. I look forward to seeing that. It's expensive stuff and is apparently fades over time. A pin stripe on each wheel + glowing lock barrels would probably double the value of my truck.
  21. I will admit there are flaws to this set up and that I will be leaving this to someone else to try out. Other ideas free to a good home - Glow in the dark Pathfinder. Fully functioning Pathfinder. Washed + waxed Pathfinder.
  22. There's alot flooding in the area and I think this might just be what we're looking for. The ultimate set up would of course include some "clicking" as the horn.
