  1. Just thought i would post this up for future searchers. I took my pathy to nissan and got the oil changed. It cost me $30. and they put a oem filter and 5W30 oil in. It runs So much better and the lifter tick on cold starts went away. Im gonna start getting my oil changed when the ticking happens rather then waiting on my mile mark to come first. The ticking could have been from the oil filter that was on there (not sure what it was). Not sure if it was the fresh oil or the oem filter but they both helped out majorly!!!!

  2. I have power mirrors on my hardbody and pathy but i want to swap my chrome ones on the hardbody to the pathy and the black ones onto the hardbody? I pulled the panel on the hardbody and was thinking there would be just a quick and easy connector but its wired straight into my harness. Not sure yet if my pathy is the same way? If so would it be ok if i just cut the wires and put some electrical connectors to make swapping them easier for the future? Kinda a stupid question but i wanted to see what you guys thought before i go cutting wires.

    Thanks Guys

  3. It only cost $30 for oil change from Nissan and they give you a free wash. And I'm gonna do the plugs my self. I'm going to run ngk and ill prob have them put 10w30 instead of the 5w30 becuase summer is coming up.

  4. I would do it my self but those plugs look like a bitch to do and I never liked changing the belts. My buddy that's a mechanic said he would do it for me. But I'm gonna have Nissan do the oil change becuase I don't have anything to catch the oil and store it and they will wash my pathy for freeeeeee and it needs a bath lol.

  5. Thanks for all the help guys a lot of good info in here I'm planning on takeing my pathy to the dealer to get the oil changed. I called up to get a qoute to go ahead and have them change the plugs and belts and they wanted like 3-4 hundred $.

  6. Thanks guys for the feedback. Junta thanks that would be great. Maybe another sticky? Lol. And I used fram on my z24 and my ka24 and I have had problems with both engines. Not sure if it had something to do with the fram filter but I have read bad things on other Nissan forums about them. So I'm staying away from them. I like them becuase they had the little grip part on the end. Always helped installing them. I never use filter wrenchs!!!!

    But thanks again guys.

  7. Ok I have heard a lot of bad things when it comes to fram oil filters and this and that about other filters. I'm going to be doing a tune up and was wondering what is the best oil filter for my 94 v6 pathy. I have searched and I couldn't find anything on this topic or any brand of filter. People just state that they replaced there oil filter and don't give a brand. So if you guys would can you please help me out on this?

    Thanks

    Ryan.

Oyeah what oil do you guys recommend for my pathy that has 174,000 in the AZ summer that gets up to 115?

    Brand and weight?

You can actually take that apart and clean it, its fixed my headlight issue on every Hardbody I have ever owned. Has not happened on the Pathy yet.

Yeah I took it apart and cleaned it. Mine had some of that white electrical grease in it so I cleaned all that out real good and added new grease same kind and it did work for about a week then it started acting up again so I said screw it and bought a new one.

  9. There was a ad on craigslist about tires from a small mom and POP shop. I went down there and they had them in stock along with a set of 33/12.50 but I got the 31s for now till I get my lifts installed. My girlfriend was trying to get me to get the 33s bad lol she kept telling me to go big or go home. Lol she's crazy. She would have @!*% when they would of hit the fender at turn for the first time.

  10. Well some of you may luagh but these only cost me $4 to make well actually i got paid to make them while i was at work. These are just a test to see if they will work (pins hold up)

I took them to the belt sander to clean of the paint and to make them slide into the tubing better. The tubing is made of aircraft stainless and i found it in my junk drawer of my toolbox.

    Nice fit

After measuring them up i found out where the tubing needs to be and then tacked welded them.

    I have

    Blocks and hardware

    Front bumper mounts

Drive shaft drop brackets and hardware

    Hardbody shifter

    Things i need

    Gas filler hose

    Gas vent line

    Power steering hose

    E-brake drop down brackets

Transmission & transfer case extension? What is this?

    ????

    Thanks Guys

  11. I ended up going back to the junk yard and pulling the body lift along with some other parts. I paid $40 for the body lift and $15 for all the other stuff.

I dont have any before pics but i took them to work and blasted them along with scribe a # 1-10 so i know where they go. After i pulled them i got to looking and found that it had the bumper relocater brackets and the drive shaft hoop extenders. I also grabbed the rear sway bar rods that connect it to the frame and i grabbed some factory front bumper mounts to hopfully mod and make work rather then the aftermarket tabs. And i grabbed a 4x4 hardbody transfer case shifter. Im not sure what all i needed so i grabbed what i have in the pics.

The very end of the shifter that connects to the transfer case looks a little to small compared to my pathy. Any thoguhts on that?
