Hi all. I joined a while ago, but was out due to technical probs.
Anyway, I picked up my baby last April for $1000; i got a deal casue the prev owner thought it needed ne u-joints and i said i' do it myself. Turns out, it need a new tranny....ouch. Since then, i haven't hadany time to do anything to her, only reg maintenance. That doesn't mean i don't want t tho. I have a few plans for upgrading the interior (ideas welcome), especially the gauges. I love her, but I think i'd love her more if i could see my bloody insturments a little better; the orange/black really doesn't do it for me. Unfortunately, being up in Saskatchewan, I can't find any aftermarket dealers that can get anything for our particular vehicle of preference( i won;t buy online). Has anyone else had to resort to midifying everything they want to do? share if you have. I just started an interior lighting project(pics soon), and it's looking retty decent. A big plus is that i can see my lighter when it flys into the back seat.
Moving on, the title was How much do you Love 'em? I'd like to hear
For me, I've only owned/driven 2 vehicles in the last decade. An '87 and an '89; that's how much. Honestly, I don't think anything but a First Gen will do for me. 2 doors good, 4 doors bad. Well...MAYBE an Xterra, but the jury is still out.
