Thanks Balln. Tungsten I haven't even looked yet. Still have so much to do before I'll be ready for some wheeling. I'm sure I'll find something though. Even if it's a parking block flex picture lol.

  2. Dupli-Color Bed Armor with Kevlar. It has a rough texture but I like it. I would highly recommend using 4 to 6 coats. The thicker the better. The gallon kit (with roller and brush) is about $100 out the door depending on where you buy it. Their are better deals online. Plus if you check there website you'll find rebates from time to time. Right now they have a $30 rebate. That puts this product in the very inexpensive category compared to others of it quality. It will come off just like any other bed liner if you scrape it across rocks of something like that. I think it looks good and couldn't be happier with it. Plus it's water based and paintable. Keep in mind it's all about prep with any paint or bed liner. You prep it right and it will hold up great. They say two coats is enough but I can tell you two coats is not going to be enough. This stuff has clumps because of the Kevlar so you need to add a bunch of coats to get the clumps to look a little more uniform. Plus bed liner should be thick to take the abuse, not paper thin. Two coats will scrape off really easy because it's so thin. Cake this on and you're golden. You can add more coats at anytime. I redid my front bumper when I did the rest of the truck just because I had a few spots where I had some rock rash. Looks better then new right now. When it comes to cleaning it. The brush at the car was does just fine. Haven't notices any fading since it fully dried. It will fade a tiny bit over the first week or so. But you will also realize it's much harder at that point than it was after the first 24 hours. Anyway I hope all that info helps. I tried the cheap Dupli-Color Bed Coating on the inside of my bread truck and it sucks. Not impressed at all!!! Not even close to the same quality. Don't buy it. Make sure you get the Bed Armor with Kevlar. Oh and don't buy those spray cans of bed liner. They aren't the same and hold very little. You'll spend a ton of money on them and never get anywhere near what you're looking for. Might as well buy paint if you're going to buy that crap.
  3. I'd let you have it for free but I'm not shipping it. I don't have the time to deal with that. I'm moving in a month. That is taking up all my free time.

  5. Here is what I recommend. Spray it with under coat. Shoot expansion foam into all the cross bars. Spray the under side of the roof with under coat. You'll love the difference. It will make your truck feel more solid and will get rid of a bunch of the tin can feel. No vibrations ether.
  6. Rocker panels, sliders, fender wells, and fender lips are all protected with bed liner. Let's hope it stays on the truck lol. I didn't prep the surface very well. Doesn't look that good but it looks better than rust. As I said before, I'm moving to NY next month so I need to protect the truck if I want it to last. Oh and let me tell you what. This helped a ton with road noise! It works so well that I'll be pulling the door panels and carpet at some point and spraying it with under coating as well as trying to coat the entire underside of the truck.
  7. All finished! Now to run bed liner down the side of the truck (the black part) to help prevent rust and to fill the gap where there old bumper covered. We rushed the completion of this quite a bit so it's not as perfect as I would have liked. However I think it turned out pretty good and it's strong as hell. Does everything I wanted it to do. Plus if I ever build a trailer setup for 4 wheeling, the hitch height is perfect. I may eventually cut the quarter panels to angle up to meet the rear bumper. Make it look nice and clean.
  8. getting ready to put the finishing touches on my rear bumper.

  9. The bumper wasn't bolted on in any of these pics. Once it's mounted ot will have enough gap to accommodate body/frame flex. As for the reciever... I left it open so of anything gets in there I can knock it out ether end with a stick or whatever I can find. I don't go mudding much so is my thinking all wrong?
  10. How much for a set of 5 rock rings. As much as I dig the jellies I think I'll pass and go with something a little more simple.
  11. And this is how much of the 4"x8" sheet of steel I have left after two bumpers. Looks like my first project in my 1300sqf garage that awaits me in Syracuse, NY will be belly armor.
  12. Just about wrapped up my rear bumper. Just need to finish welding everything up, grind down the welds, and slap some bed liner on it. Will post more pics tomorrow once it's finished.
  13. Just about wrapped up my rear bumper.

  14. The time for my move to Syracuse NY is finally within arms reach. June 27th is the official move date.

"beauttiful scenery" how can you live in PA and think AZ has beautiful scenery? I walk out the house every day and get depressed. I drive around town for work and get depressed. Sure AZ has some pretty areas but Phoenix is down right ugly. I'm ready for something completely new. Not sure what kind of wheelin I'll find up there but I'll have plenty of know to play in.

  15. This is what I recommend based on my experience with this problem. Buy the headers take your truck to a good shop NOT one of those brand named exhaust shops. Have them install them and fix the studs. Buy the upgraded studs or replace them with the highest grade bolt you can get. If you start the stud repair process on your own the shops are going to bop you over the head when you finally throw in the towel. There simpley wasn't enough room for my tools to get the broken studs out. Two shops flat out didn't want to touch it and I ended out having to tow my truck to 3 different shops before I finally found someone that would fix it. If one shop does the complete install and repair it's going to cost you but in my opinion it's worth it. No issues for you other than paying them. They'll make sure your headers connect with you existing exhaust properly too. The flange on my Pacesetter headers that connects to the stock exhaust didn't match up quite right.
  16. Lots of pics of the pathy please and yes jump on that deal.
  17. Hell yeah. Actually I think my fat ass needs one of those too lol. Won't have to worry about cup holders if I do.
  18. Yeah it's a bottom of the line Grant wheel and the F-ing horn stuck while I was honking at some stupid bitch holding up traffic. I had to tear it out lol. I'll be replacing it soon enough.
  19. Got My seats installed. About to order new TREs for the Calmini Steering I got from KovemaN. Hopefully I'll have all my current front end Mods taken care of within the next two weeks.

  20. Installed the seats. It was a tight fit in the shoulder area by the seat belt area but they fit nicely. You have to move them over toward the center console and modify the seat brackets extensively as a result. As far as comfort. Not bad for $250 seats. The lumbar area is a little more arched than I'd like but then again I'm sure this will break in with a little time. The seats are built for larger people like myself (6'1" 270lbs). My woman is very small so she looks like she's sitting in a baby seat lol. Now I just have to work on making the rest of the interior match them. So anyway here they are.
  21. Not trying to insult you or get into a pissing match but I stand by what I said. Feel free to build it and proove me wrong on the cost and I'll gladly retract everything I said. Just keep in mind Total Chaos sells a mid travel 4x4 frontier kit for $2540 and that only comes with arms, hardware, brake lines, and bushings. No axles, no spindles, no coilovers, no steering, no glass fenders (their kit requires it), no installation, no spings, no nitrogen to charge the shocks, no shock hoops or proper hoop support required for coilovers, and the list could go on and on for it to be built properly and hold up to real abuse. So yeah I still stand by my opinion. Take it for what it's worth. It's just that, an opinion.
