I have read through your thread and many others. My question is really targeting the Dura Tracs specifically because they will clear the strut with no problem using a 3.75 backspace wheel and NO spacer. My main concern is will using that specific tire and backspace allow me to keep from having to clear out the fender opening tight spots to eliminate rubbing. Basically, will the DuraTracs rub with their narrow tread path? Thanks 01. :-)

These Goodyear DuraTracs have a narrower section width and tread width compared to other all terrain tires such as the BFG. Wondered if anybody has run the Goodyear DuraTrac 285/33" on just the 2" AC lift. Wondered if they rubbed the wheel wells. Looking at some of the Pics of the 31's that Phantom has on his, there looks to be plenty of room???

Could there be a bad bearing on one of the accessory pulleys?

SFD... Question about front end alignment.
snow4me replied to snow4me's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
According to the Krypton Fabs website, the 3" wj coil gives you about 4" and the 4" coil gives you about 5.5". I have followed all of your guys builds and am very impressed. Probably should go with the taller ones like you say and trim them down. As far as the alignment, I was under the impression that a simple alignment wouldn't straighten the front end out. Good to know. Thanks! -
Hey guys, I had been planning for some time to go with the AC lift kit on my 2001 Pathy. Lately I have been reading and looking at pictures on here and I think I have decided to do the Krypton Fabs SFD. My plan is to source the AC front springs from 4x4parts and then do the SFD using the recommended Jeep WJ rear coils. I haven't decided on which to use, the 3" or 4" lift version yet. My question is, a lot of the SFD threads I have seen on here show a major alignment issue when this is first completed. How do you fix this??? I'm also concerned about the vibration issues I have read about. Can anyone help to answer these questions? I have done lots of reading but haven't come across any good hard answers. Thanks!

Hey bro, what's up? Have not done my lift yet, probably gonna wait until spring. Pathy is in the shop as of yesterday, I backed it into a tree this past fall and wasted the liftgate and bumper. They are actually putting on a ne factory Nissan liftgate and they think they can fix the bumper. the bumper support beam is wasted though. I get all new embelems as well. Hope it turns out nice.

Was under mine today and noticed the EXACT same thing, right side looked lower. Looks exactly like yours if it helps you sleep.

Was averaging around 18.5 mpg mostly freeway now I'm averaging 20.5 mpg. Turns and steers so much nicer! Awesome mod.

I forget, did you have that wheel tire combo on there with just your 2" AC lift?
-
Are those still the 33's or are they 35's? They look HUGE!

If you have the snap ring off, are you able to slide the axle shaft inward toward the motor? I had mine off this weekend when I was doing the hubs but didn't try and push it in.
-
Well, I got that part silly. :-) I had read that the CV is in the way of getting it out and wondered if there was any tricks for wiggling it out of there?

Finished installing my warn hubs tonight, after having to replace all 6 left front studs from some impact gun happy mechanic used by the previous owner. Turns out my left front ball joint is wasted as well so I need to replace it soon. What is the best method of getting the old one out? By the way, the warn hub upgrade is awesome. Daryl.

I don't think a little gap will hurt but I'd bet a strip of duct tape would cure what ails you.

The two filters in mine have foam on them and seal up really well.

The air just blows out like crazy now, they were so plugged it wasn't funny.
-
Just an FYI, there is a sticker on the inside of the glove box, not in the bucket but off to the side that says my truck has the filter. Don't know if they all do but you could probably tell if you have one if you have the sticker.
-
If you have one, it's behind the glove box. You have to take the glove box out to get to it.

Wasn't sure if my new to me 2001 Pathy had an in cabin air filter or not. I decided to have a look at the window sticker that the original owner left for me. Sure enough, it does and it has been in there for 10 years! If you have one, have a look at it, pretty disgusting. I cannot imagine that was very healthy to have in there. Have a great day! Daryl.

Wonder if AC would sell only the front springs if you wanted to do the SFD and get the rear WJ coils for out back?
-
Since your truck is now closer to the clouds, the rain has an easier time getting in. :-)

How wide are your rims and what backspacing did you end up with?

Don't get me wrong, they look awesome!!! I just wondered why you didn't run a bigger tire, looks like plenty of room. Either way, looks beautiful.
