  1. Only OEM parts you should need are the strut mounts and bearings. The parts counter will know the part numbers when you tell them what you need.
  2. +2 What they said. I just had to have mine realigned for the second time in three months because I had PaMountainbiker's old 1" strut spacers (thanks again Pa!) installed.
  3. I rear ended a late 90's Toyota Celica (my fault .. shame on me!) and came away with just a busted driving light lense. My aluminum brush guard took the blunt of the impact on the verticle mount which IMO saved the guard. The Toyota was heavily damaged as it was loaded down in the back. Only good thing that came out of the collision was that the Celica's illegal driver was arrested and deported after I had to chase him down while calling the po-po's to report my own accident.
  4. That seems like a good idea. The trick would be slipping the sleeves over the bushings though.
  5. I just had my inner and outer bearings replaced after my break fiasco. My replacements are from F.A.G. Much cheaper than the Nippo stock bearings. I'll let you know if they wear out prematurely.
  6. Good call fella's. Passenger side wheel bearing was out. Had boths sides recently replaced.
  7. We've got "our" track which is a 1/4 mile. The track one town over that we went to tonight is a 1/2 mile. The difference in the track size is huge! The late models at "our" track pull the driver side front tire off the ground through the turns. The same cars (and I mean the SAME CARS) carry so much speed at the 1/2 mile track they stick to the ground through all four corners. It's fun to trade tracks each weekend and pull for the "home" boys!
  8. Great eye! My stock brush guard (aluminum) top bar is welded in between the verticle mounts. The one pictured is welded outside of the head light guards. And yes, I too see the rust ... now. The difference with the model years is that the 99.5 - 04 Pathy's have a rounder front clip. The body was not changed much (cosmetically).
  9. We have three tracks within thrity minutes drive from our house. This is only my second year that we've been into it as my neighbor just bought his car and a co-worker of mine's husband, brother, and nephew all have cars. Throw in the friends that I've met in the pits and now I have a new addiction. I understand that the WoO are the shiznit up north. The sprints that ran tonight were blazing fast to me and the wife. Our buddies from NY and PA told us that they couldn't hold a candle to the WoO cars. That must be absolutely SICK!
  10. Creat Sportsman, Renegade, 4 bangers, and in lieu of the late models we were blessed with the "winged cars" (sprint cars). Six Q-tips and four Kleenex's later I'm all clean and getting my drink on. *and staying off of the forums when the buzz kicks in ... no more "three in a row" for me! Now that is a nice looking "fix"!
  11. The factory brush guard is aluminum. It will not weigh the front down.
  12. That looks like Muddfildvayns' old brush guard .. And yes, it should fit.
  13. Put 16 lbs of air in the spare (was down to 10 lbs!). Then took her into the woods when the ABS light came on. Checked the fuses, looked for leaks, and checked the fluid level to no avail. I'll ask my mechanic what he thinks as he just worked on her Friday when I meet up with him at the dirt track tonight. Yah-hoo!
  14. Turned out my strut bolt was striped (spl?). Found out when my mechanic pulled the assmbly apart to install the NX4 1" spacers. No more " clunk" sound for me. Might want to check into that area? *edit ... or check your end link. It may not have been greased by Moog. (I really must read every post before posting!)
  15. Please do. Post them in the members rides section!
  16. Replaced the calipers, pads, lines, one strut, one sway bar end link, both wheel bearings, added the strut spacers and my sanity (spl?). Took it through the woods and it ran like a champ. All is well now!
  17. Welcome to our "family". You will get a lot of great info here!
  18. Really? I was under the impression that they would rub significantly. I'd also like to add that my claimed 5" of lift in the rear included the new springs AND the 31's.
  19. 1. I honestly don't know. I am currently installing some 1" NX4 strut spacers to even out my rake. 2. Can't help you here either. I went with the AC 2" lift coils (+3" in the front, +5" in the rear due to a 160k+ saggy ass) 3. *see #2 4. Go to your Nissan Dealership and pick up some strut mounts and bearings. They are recommended by everyone on these boards and by me! 5. Personal opinion. I just saved up until I could purchase all of mine at once. However, you will need the lift before going with the 31"s. 6. You shouldn't need spacers for 31" tires. You WILL have to do some minor trim to the front of your wheel well liners. They will rub when you are reversing in full lock. 7. Take and post before/after pics!
  20. Good Lawd ... I just re-read my post. "Grade" not "Schedule" This is the other suggestion that my mechanic told me. Both explinations make sense to me. I have yet to see the damaged hose and will most likely ask him exactly what he found. To add to my delima, he called me today and told me that while he was removing one of the struts, he noticed that the strut bolt was stripped. I think that the struts have some sort of warranty so I'll be exploring that avenue. Starting to be REAL glad that this is not my DD.
  21. I see Lego's! Pretty truck man.
