So I want to SAS an wd21, I think they look amazing and would love to have one to take to moab and all the other local places.... BUT which year and version would be the best to do it with, Id like to get one of the 2 doors and make it a hard top convertable haha. In the end I've done some reading and stuff and I am just not sure what would be the best years and versions when I do this. So just had to ask for some advice seeing as how we have so many memebers with the wd21s? IF there is already a topic about this I'm sorry.

yeah I just wish mine was and auto and had the sunroof, but the reason My rake isn't that bad is cause I have a 100 pounds of subwoofer in the back
-
As far as the knock senser goes it is a pain to do specially if you have big hands like me, cause its just a little sensor bolted on top of the motor that requires you to tear the top of the motor off to change.

Thanks guys! The color is one of the reasons I bought her. Now I just have to decide if I want to go for the 4" sfd or start on the sas wd21... well once I finish my armor.

for everything maybe 4 days, I had some issues with putting my new cv axles and my lowers control arms.

after slowly saving my money finally got my AC lift and it turned out way nice. I bought the 2" AC lift with the bilstein shocks and kyb struts and I got the camber bolts. https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-suspension-package-p-1959.html Took me a while cause I pretty much redid my whole front end. From wheel bearings to lower control arms I did everything but tie rods and sway bar. I have started making a tube front bumper already so I got her torn down again ha

Well as far as xterras go the old ones are almost the same as our pathfinders. They have the same motor and in my opinion about the same size, the only real difference is how the xterras have a seperate body and frame. The newer xterras still seperate frame from body but with a 4.0 engine instead of a 3.3. The xterras and pathfinders both have their pros and cons so it all comes down to what you think feels the best for you. They are all offroad capable stock and all can be made into some sweet sweet offroaders. As far as forums go this one is the easiest to navigate and use in my opinion, newx.org doesn't got anything this even with their HUGE growth right now.

Been reading some of the stuff from the guys that have SASed there R50s, but I havent been able to find any good build topics so if you guys can throw me some links PLEASE. The main question though, would an axle off of a zj grand cherokee work instead of d44 for the axle swap?

With your lift set up you should be able to run as big as 32's with possible rubbing while turning........ but that's a guess cuz I'm not sure what your back spacing is on your stock rims, if its more than or equal to 3.75 you should be just fine with clearance on the strut..
-
Yeah the previous owner broke them off and when they replaced them they did it backwards and I haven't changed it back cuz it doesn't cause any problems
-
Yes they would but haven't found any mud yet but did go do some trails yesterday and the traction even on steep hills was surprizing and no these tires are true 31's...... they are 31X10.5

finally got around to working on my pathy agian guys, fixed my knock sensor and EVAP canister problems and also bought new wheels and tires.. I bought the wheels and tires at my local les schwab for just over $1000, they're 31 inch hankooks on 15 inch black steel rims.....and the surprizing part is I barely have any rubbing even with my ride being the XE which has a sharper turning radius and without a lift yet..... the only problem I had was I grind down my calipers a little bit to get so the rims would fit....
-
ah Thanks so much to both of you, Now I can get started on fixing it if I can just get some nice weather going on here Thanks again
-
My SES light came on today ..... took it into my auto class and the codes P0325 for the knock sensor, and P1447 for my EVAP System. So I was wondering how much time and money do you think it would take to fix both of these??????

Jackson Autosport's R50 Missing Link
MAXEDpath replied to tekazgtr1984's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Milling out a small amount of material to clear the socket, as so in the picture below I then remounted the crossmember to make sure it still fit and tightened fully and went for test drive. I did notice right off the back that body roll was reduced I then removed and spray painted primer base and gloss black coating on for rust protection -
Jackson Autosport's R50 Missing Link
MAXEDpath replied to tekazgtr1984's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Well guys, Since it was labor day weekend and I wasn't going to be doing anything I decided to go out and make one so here is my write up.... passenger side lower a arm mount with bolt out, 1-1/2" inch square tubing is the biggest that will fit bolts out on both sides I reused the bolts (long enough. 1-1/2" square tubing at 23-3/4" is what I used. I decided to just cut the tubing at angle instead of welding two mounts to attach it, which increase's strength Drilling 9/16" mounting hole test fit of the cross-member, upon tightening I noticed I couldn't fit the socket in -
hmm...good idea might have to check it out a little more
-
I've been keeping track of my mileage since I got my pathy and when I went and filled up yesterday when I did the math I couldn't believe it so I checked it again... AND ITS THE TRUTH I almost got 19 mpg with my pathy and yes it is all stock but usually I'm getting 15-16 but this was just amazing (to me)
-
where did you guys mount your racks to???? thats the only problem I've had in my plans so far is how to attach it??????
