1. Just throwing this out there but I had a similar "clunk" and it turned out that the resonator behind the muffler had rusted off and was swaying around from the mount and smacking the frame every time I went over a bump.
2. The Nissan rep says something interesting things about the previous generations..
3. What about the R51? For those saying WD21>R50 simply because of body on frame, does this make the R51>R50?
4. I think I should clarify, it is not conduction heat there is an actual blowing of hot air into the cabin but only while moving. This seems like it would most likely be a malfunctioning vent?
5. Ya no exhaust smells and I didn't pass out from carbon monoxide poisoning so I think we can cross that off the list..
6. ^^ TownCivilian sorry I didn't mean to come off rude, that's the only question I can answer so far ha
7. I was taking a drive today when I started to notice my feet feeling warm, I put my hand down by the pedals and found there was a rush of hot air coming from the area, except hotter than heater air would ever be. When I got home I tried poking around with a flashlight but couldn't find anything. I assume there is a vent there, isn't there a foot setting? Is it possible it is stuck open somehow? The heat was turned off and I noticed the air flow only when driving, when I was parked in my driveway the heat had gone away. Thoughts?
8. Yup the chrome center caps definitely complete the look and match to the chrome of the grill. Next cosmetic thing might be front window tint to match the factory back, nothing too extreme. Then I think I'm done with the exterior. Might throw in a cold air intake too.
9. Wash! I'd say it has a pretty good stance for not being lifted. Now to find out how it handles off the pavement!
10. Thanks man, it's funny how minor but noticeable the facelift was. Oh, and i'll be the first to admit, I wish they wouldn't have made such a dark maroon. Like I said the pics dark and it's dirty, but it looks straight purple there ha. I love the maroon/red shade that mitsubishi painted the montero
11. The only money I had paid so far was the price of the tires themselves luckily. I think the rubbing in reverse might be from the mudflaps. I'll have to check in daylight, I'll probably correct that seeing as it will get annoying backing our of parking spots every time.
12. Walmart wouldn't mount the tires! Since they aren't the "suggested" tire size. I had a local shop do it, although I had to wait 2 hours since I didn't have an appointment. I need to get a pic with a wash and when the suns out, much less purple-y. I like it, completely different appearance. The only rubbing is at full crank reverse, and even then not a problem.
13. Walmart emailed me this morning! I'll be headed there after class, just crossing my fingers everything fits right
14. Got the wheels in the mail today, I ordered chrome center caps but after seeing them in person I'm not sure if i want to put those on or not Oh and walmart's estimated delivery on the tires is between november 7th and 14th.. holy slow shipping!
15. Theoretically how much $$ could you expect to drop if you had a shop do this for you?
16. I'll definitely be getting the 2" AC eventually!
17. Wells Fargo fraud protection called me after I charged the wheels and tires to my debit card
18. That's before tax. That's still a pretty decent deal. Ya I'll make sure they don't charge me.. will they have the correct kind of lug nuts? Might be a dumb question but it was an option to order as well from Summit.
19. Duratracs and Soft 8's ordered! When I found out walmart.com has duratracs for 190 I couldn't pass it up, every local store quoted me around 230!
20. Ya I think you have a good point with gloss and going with the cheaper wheels! When clean (rare, lol) the paint on my r50 has a bit of sparkle to it.
21. So I should have no problem with the combination of these: http://www.summitrac...01722/overview/ and 245/75/16 (30.5x9.6/16)Goodyear Wrangler Authorities? (Authorities are so much cheaper than duratrac and it turns out they are what my roommate has with 60k miles) the price difference between the 15" and the 16" is $10.. but I would like to be able to switch to my old rims if I needed/wanted to so I want to stick with 16" EDIT: Meh, or I can't decide if I should just go with the soft 8's for near $25 cheaper. It comes down to whether matte black or gloss would look better..
