Round dash trucks are notorious for RPM, fuel, and temperature gauge problems. I would have tried tightening the brass screws on the back of the cluster first.

The one thing I can make out is that the sealed beam and DOT Hella are going to have similar light spread. But the Hella is a much better choice as there is a range of high quality bulbs that can be installed in it.
The E-code light will produce the best light output with a flat cut off to the left, and a nice up sweep to the right for illuminating road signs.

They probably did the same thing in the hardbody pickup as they did in the 240. Switched it from the KA24E to the KA24DE at some point.

Those guys are drifters though..not offroaders. Of course they're jerks.
Yeah, but the guy I quoted said Nissan owners. So that includes everyone. the newer Z crowd isn't exactly the favorable type either.

the stock fuel pump assembly is rather long. If you can find the dimensions of the tank, just use the complete height of it as a good guess as it bolts up right on top and the pick up filter sock sits on the bottom of the tank.
-
Out of curiosity, why? Seems like a lot of work to make it work some other way when it works perfectly fine as it is.
-
Internal pumps are not designed to be used externally, the fuel in the tank is what cools the pump.
Look in to going race car status with one of those fuel cells.

tires make a huge difference and that's one thing most people don't realize. Both of your trucks should have the exact same suspension, but depending on mileage, one could have more wear than the other.
-
I wonder if that means Nissan owners are the Canadians of the the car world? lol!
Go to ANY 240/S-Chassis/silvia meet, and you'll quickly change your view.

1996 was the start of OBD2, so diagnosing any problems will be much easier. But at least with '94 ignoring the problem because it's not as big a deal when OBD1 shows a code...

Not that I have seen LOTS of Pathys but I did the belts on a buddies that had been sitting for most of a year cuz he didn't know how. It is a 94 XE with crank windows. First one I have seen. Mine is a 91 and it has the push button electronic controls for heat/AC and automatic temp sensor settings. I have not seen another...
I think auto climate was standard on the LE trim, and optional on the other's.
Standard auto wreckers has one right now! Sad to see in the JY though

And it's the badass two tone black and silver?? So sad! The one I had seen was the maroon/red color.

I have... but only at the u-pull-it yard
Just like the only place I've seen the epic rare VG30E two door is in a junkyard.
-
I would also prefer the white one. Mostly because of the badass 80's style pin striping.
-
There is a strip model of the pathy with hand crank windows, vinyl floors, z24 motor, etc so 'base edition' doesn't work. Still, you would think there is some sort of standard other than seat upholstery and see through head rests...
My XEs have had AC, PW, PL, HPM, rear wiper/defrost, tire carrier, LSD, alarm and a few other goodies. Nissan options are a mix and match at best...
B
My old 95XE had every option my current 95SE has excluding rear disc brakes, adjustable suspension, sunroof, and 31x10.50 tires from the factory.
I do prefer the SE interior, much more comfortable than the XE stuff.

X2 on heat, then impact gun.
I was able to get mine with a 1/2" breaker bar, but I literally had to lock my legs around a tire to get the leverage or I would just drag myself around on the garage floor.
Always remove the fill plug before you remove the drain plug, and when you reinstall the plugs , give them a couple of wraps of teflon tape. It will reduce the chance of a leak, you won't have to tighten it quite as much and you should have less trouble with it next time.
B
Oh, sometimes bracing yourself and getting a foot on the handle of a breaker bar and pushing with your leg works as well.
I've had to do this with my transfer case drain on several occasions, even after reinstalling it myself and not getting crazy with it.
-
Use an impact if you have one available.
-
I really like the wheels that are on it now. Just buy another one and put it on the carrier with keyed lug nuts, but that's my opinion.
-
I like how new wheels/tires were bought for it but the factory "too small for even an XE" spare is still on the carrier.

no cat because race truck!
The only reason I would purposefully remove my catalytic converter (in my truck) is if I did field work and was constantly driving and idling over tall dry'ish grass.

From what I've heard the KM's are better off road, but loud on road. the KM2's are still really great, but much quieter tread design. I LOVE my KM2's.

All the mirrors swap, 87-95. If you buy them used, the color of black will be different on each one because of different amounts of sun fading.

THREAD JACK.....If I mount my CB antenna near the radio antenna will they interfere with each other?
They're different frequency radios, so it shouldn't. Might even help your FM radio...

Welcome!
That's a cool picture of Rainier, did you take it or find it?

If you're asking what wattage to use, you obviously NEED to do more research. Please do so before you sear the retina's of the innocent oncoming drivers, or melt your headlight housings.
