  1. My SES light was on since I bought the car so I pulled the codes for no signal from the 02 sensor and high voltage something or other. I replaced the bad 02 sensor and now I have 2 new codes P1130 & P0430. My mechanic said that the P0430 is a bad cat and the dealership should replace it under waranty. The other code P1130 he said is becasue I drilled three 2" holes in the front of my airbox? He said it the vacum line in the back of the airbox needs to get vacum so it opens up a flap in the intake. He said there are three causes to that code and he tracked it down to the holes in the airbox. So my question is what do you do with this line if you have a real K&N intake? Also, is P1130 really due to lack of vacum? I just want to get P1130 fixed so I can take my car to the dealer for a free new cat since my pathy's emissions system is still under warranty.
  2. I have also seen a ton on ebay for a good price
  3. Most cars don't sit exactly level. Springs get worn in due to the gas tank and driver being located on the left hand side of the car. My pathfinder is off by bout 1/2" in the rear as well. If it bugs you you can always add a thicker rubber spring isolater (sp) or whatever the hell it is above your sagging rear spring. In my old tacoma I had to add an extra leaf spring to driver side becuase of the gas tank and the fact I usually drove solo and it still sat lower than the pass side. Not the best pic but you can kinda tell
  4. Damn snow wheeling is the best!!! Looks like fun up there
  5. You can reuse the struts but the shocks will be to short unless you are getting the OME coils (still restrict travel but could work)
  6. I noticed a difference on a LT1 camaro I used to have with a cold air kit that took air from the front bumper. On my old tacoma and current pathfinder I just droped in a K&N and drill a 4" hole in the front of the airbox and put in a deck plate from a marine suply store so it can be closed up if needed. I'm sure it flows very close to a expensive intake but there is very little HP and fuel economy gain. I also have a Lexus SC400 and the stock airbox with holes and a few plates to block hot air from the engine gives more HP than the expensive cone filter kits.
  7. Looks good, nice and tucked like that
  8. Most peeps I know have Warns and they work great, I have heard a LOT of bad things about Superwinches reliability.
  9. Just buy a 4WD, I had a friend try a swap on a tacoma and it was a PITA!
  10. Does anyone have a diagram of the exhaust system so I know which sensor is the bank 2 number 2?
  11. A bad 02 sensor in an OBDII vehicle makes the computer switch to safe mode which doesn't allow the ECU to learn your driving style and adapt it for optimal mileage and power
  12. I get about 16mpg with warns, K&N, and 32" AT's. I also have a bad 02 sensor and after I fix that and put on a flowmaster I am hoping for atleast 17. I do about 60% freeway 20% around town and 20% Santa Cruz Mountains. 12.8 Just plain sucks
  13. Good info, I plan on doing the same very soon now that I know it can be done without to much trouble. It will be done with a PS2 anyone see anything wrong with that?
  14. The SES light is on my 01' pathfinder has come on and I pulled codes P0160 & P0158. They are (No activity bank 2 sensor 2) and (High voltage bank 2 sensor 2). My question is will replacing the bad 02 sensor fix both codes or did something else kill the 02 sensor? Also which 02 sensor is the bank2 #2 sensor? I am guessing I just need to replace the 02 sensor but I don't know which one.
  15. I have the AC lift and a 1" spacer and had to cut about 1" off the front bumper and cut the rear of the fender about 2" and pull both liners as far back as possible to clear 32's on a 15X8 3.75" BS. I think you can do it you will just need to pull the inner fenders out and cut as far as possible and it might still rub when flexing. When you reinstall the inner fenders make new holes in them and pull them out of the way the best you can. The AC lift only took me 4-5 hours to install and I did it by myself so don't pay someone to put it in if you have the space and tools. You just need to take the struts down to a shop and have them compressed.
  16. Will the 4:6somethings gears fit in a 3.5 R50? I assume the carrier is the same unless the bearings were beefed up for the new engine. Thanks for the posative compliments, there are still a few things to do. Tint, subwoofer, gears, and maybe some engine work if I can find parts.
  17. This is the TV and Nav, there is a VCR in the back that I want to switch for my PS2.
  18. From what I have read I think I have the 4:3?'s gears and the SE's have 4:6?'s. So I was going to get some of those.
  19. It sits level with just one 3/8" spacer. I like the lift and there is plenty of power with the 32's so there is no hury to regear like I was planning.
  20. I took out 2 of the trip pack spacers and it's fine now! Has nayone heard of using Porsche 930 CV's? I know Toyota people do it on Tacomas and 4runners. They are a little more expensive but stronger and can handle more angle.
  21. I have the Warn hubs but I can see that the driver side CV boot has slipped about 1/4" of an inch because it was getting stretched. I will just drive it very gingerly and keep an eye on everything, I'm to lazy to take out the spacer and put it back in a couple weeks unless somethings starts to get fawked up. I won't be wheeling soon and when I do it will be pretty weak stuff (compared to wheeling my old SAS taco).
  22. I just put the AC lift and a 1 1/8" (3 Rocky Road Spacers) spacer on. I have only driven it about a mile but even when I give it gas the front end clunks like the struts are topping out. Do these springs settle quickly cuz I don't want to mess up the struts? I know others have this combo and it works fine for them. BTW with 32's on rockcrawlers it looks sick, I'll post pics in a couple days
