  1. yes there are manual tranny's in the R50
  2. yes X's are body on frame and do have a bigger aftermarket (takes forever to get anything though) but do you want to driving the same thing as a lot of others?
  3. Where in colorado are you at? Right now im in texas but I live in fort collins check out www.roninwheelers.com (its a site thats 99% nissans in colorado) to see some pics of Xterra's off roading and youll be suprised at what they can do. As far a picking out a pathfinder it depends on what your looking for. The 96-04 pathy's have a unibody but also have coil suspension and dont have the problems of the weak steering of the older bodies, they have a little bit more power and parts are going to be a little bit cheaper, and look better IMO .
  4. can that be done? i thought the reason for having to use R50 gears was the front was High Pinion, is this correct? or if you were to switch out for 4.9's would you have to use the whole front assembly?
  5. veng any idea how much freight would be?
  6. I can answer some of you questions but not all 1. I would check a junk yard first for flares and i think that there might be some people with some for sale in the classifieds. 2. You can raise the front by turning the t-bars but doing so can have some negative effects. 3. Yes the rear is coil spring 4. ? 5. To check and see if you have an LSD either look for an orange sticker that says LSD oil only, or jack up the rear end and turn one of the tires, if they both spin in the same direction then you have an LSD. 6. Your best and prob cheapest route for a bumper is buy the steel and have a shop make them for you. I believe that ARB makes them for your year but not 100%. 7. Check out http://nissan4wheelers.com/eve/forums/a/tp...5/m/88310151411 to see what ratio and axles you have as im also not 100% on WD's
  7. so how could i tell if mine has one installed?
  8. sounds normal to me mine does that and ive only got 71k on it
  9. i still havent spent any real money on this game and thats the way its going to stay
  10. are these only on certain models or do all R50's have them?
  11. ive also heard that there could be probs with the hubs if you have auto 4wd
  12. when was the last time you had it flushed? what size tires are you running? Mine is the same way but i have 31's. Ive noticed that even with the slightest wind it will jump to between 3-4K and stay there till I let off the gas. But this is because I have the 4.3 gears and tires that are bigger than stock.
  13. right now im outside of fort stockton at longfellows ranch, but hopefully i wont be here to much longer. So if I wanted to fix the problem how would i got about doing this? whats involved?
  14. So Im in texas for work, out in a natural gas drilling field and today I got a little but of of break so I decieded to go to town and get some food and supplies. On the way there I noticed that my CEL was on. When I got to town I had the "helpful" people at autozone pull the codes for me. Heres what came up: P0325 and P1491. They said that P0325 was the knock sensor and I knew about that as Ive it the CEL trip for that before, but the other code P1491 was new to me. The definition from them is: Vacum cut valve bypass valve. Problem causes: Failed vacum cut valve bypass valve Blocked line. They couldnt help me firgure out what the problem was or where it was at. If anyone can help it would be great to get this figured out so next time im in town I can get the correct things to fix it. Thanks
  15. plus there is the on screen guide that will tell ya whats on and you can also set reminders to certain artists or songs
  16. thats what I did, but I did my lift on a sunday so the only place open was sears, man those guys suck!
  17. ohh a good hack saw, dremmel with cutting wheel, sawzall handy couldnt hurt either.
  18. ohh and were all here to help if you have more questions and x4 on the second type of strut compressor
  19. start PBlasting the hell out of all the nuts and bolts now, as it will help a little to loosen them up a little. I also had to hack all four sway bar links to get the old stuff off, the bolts for the lower strut mount we had to hammer out and then they got bent to hell so we had to buy news ones. (from home depot) air tools will help a great deal if you have them, and try to do it during the week so in case you have problems there are places open to help.
  20. what happens when you try and start it?
  21. my deck has all of that (MP3, AAC and AUX in) but i didnt want to spend the time to make cd's and have to fiddle with changing them out or carrying them
