  1. If the bank repos it and they sell it at auction he will still owe the difference on what they sold it for.

He's pretty much screwed unless he gets another jobs or sells one off. I'm guessing he doesn't know what it's like to work for a living?

  2. I know it's not a personal attack. I just think it's a goofy viewpoint to have. I can see where people would NEED the skill. I personally don't need it. I have no desire to bother with it anymore. But if I need to I'm sure I could. Just saying not everybody's driving skills are hindered by the fact they can't, or have difficulty with, parallel parking. It's your opinion I just don't see how it makes any difference. Even if your line of work is involved with it.

  3. All parrallel parkign is is the ability to judge your car to begin with. If you can't judge it, you proably shoud trade off for something you CAN judge. Taking the drivers test in a Prizm then hopping in a Suburban ain't the brightest move. Like B said though, stupid keeps me employed. If you need that much help driving, at least do it in areas I can make money off you... But not near my stuff

I couldn't parallel park my 92 cavalier coupe.

But I could do it in a 1st gen Blazer as well as a K5 blazer. That doesn't say much for that theory lol. I'm sure i COULD parallel park. But I don't have any need to when there is parking spaces available. I rarely visit large cities as well. So yeah.

But just because you can't parallel park doesn't mean you can't judge your car.

  4. That systems for dumb women and slow people to park,if you cant park(paraell) or otherwise, you shouldnt be driving...

I can't. And in fact since taking my driving test, I have YET to parallel park. I fail to see how it's "just for women". Most cars got blind spots now that it'd be easier to parallel park a WD21.

The systems themselves are great. Ford's is a bit more... Touchy. It tells you what gears to select and just handles all the steering stuff on it's own. It's a great system though. Really intuitive. On the other hand, the system Lexus has is a proper definition of the term "clusterfskc"

  5. I will tell you guys what this thing is like in about a month. I have new model traing for the new QX!

Take a hammer with you and "beauty" it up.

Can't make it any uglier than it already is.

It really does depend on the design of the independent suspension. The IFS on the F150 Raptor is amazing for example.

Yeah I'd love to have the Raptor if it were possible. Too many projects now lol. And it'd have to have the 6.2L V8. That's a must for that truck.

  6. The episode is entitled "Manhunt" it's from close to the end of the second season.

On second thought the pathfinder might be gray. But in the episode they refer to it as "green" so it could be just covered in salt or something. It's got a spare tire carrier and looks to be older than a 1993 or so.

  7. I like safety features in cars. The lives they save are a testament to it I'm sure. But that's another argument.

IFS and IRS.. Dunno about rear for offroading. But everyone save the SVT Raptor and Silverado and all BS about being IFS and honestly i like it alot more than any vehicle I've driven that had a Straight axle put in. Felt much safer and steadier. Just hitting a rock on one side moving the other wheel to me is completely useless for the most part. But i've never crawled huge rocks or anything like that.

  8. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suvs/112_1002_2010_nissan_patrol_drive/index.html

According to motortrend, its headed here as the next QX56...Wish it still had Solid Axles...oh well.

    Jose

I still don't see all the amazing "solid axle" talk. I mean yeah. less to break. Gotcha. But I don't want my left side wheel moving when my right side wheel is climbing up something. Just personal opinion on it though. Always had better luck out of independent as opposed to solid axles.

And it's alright. Fender vent is ugly. And it's really bulbous. But the QX56 looks terrible. I stand by my opinion they need another QX4 sized vehicle and some differences than just a badge (like the two previous QX's had).

    this picture is cool though

  9. That video you posted pisses me off... they got cuffed for THAT? REALLY? WTF!

Goddamn some police officers need beat about the head with a sharp stick!

State of emergency. They shouldnt have been out. Still a bit excessive. But yeah.

But I've been reading up about the stuff used for this pathfinder bomb. Needless to say there was no way it was going to blow up. Especially considering that McVeigh used Ammonium nitrate and this guy used urea nitrate that wasn't sensitized or anything. Just crazy. Even then McVeigh got a partial detonation with dynamite to set it off.

  10. That cant be a pathy tex...too clean...wheres the mud, dead fish and xploded frogs...

It's a Mitsubishi lol. I'm sure you noticed but I dunno if you were joking on the internet. But yeah. DOHC should've been the first giveaway. Followed by the valve covers that say "mitsubishi" lol

  11. Really? you expect more from a dealer? :chairfall: Basicly just get a dye and make new/clean the threads, steering wheel isn't something you want to do half-fast. Kinda important...

I expected something better for what I paid. I need to get a warranty on my steering wheel puller because the one bolt bent.

this is such a pain in the ass though.

  12. So i am pulling the steering wheel in my S10. When I had my ignition sensor thing replaced. The dealer stripped the hell out of my threads.

any idea on how to remedy this? I'll probably have to get one of those tools to rethread the holes. But any other suggestions? Can't believe a dealer screwed up that bad.

  13. Just glad they stopped that before they went into making Cadillac SUVs. Though, I'm sure they would have sold a ton to the ghetto crowd that can't afford the Escalades.

What I think is :ill: are the new trend of hatchback sedans, they all look like smashed Aztecs to me.

Cadillac wasn't interested in the SUV deal when the S10/Blazer/Jimmy platforms were updated in 1994. And when they got updated again in 1998, Cadillac still wasn't interested. Pretty much the only reason the Escalade came to be was because the Navigator blew up and was running unopposed. Cadillac initially wasn't even going to come out with a tarted up Yukon because they figured the Navigator would fall flat on it's face.

What you talkin bout hatchback sedans? Like the Crosstour and all that?

They don't remind me of smashed Azteks at all. More like the old AMC Eagle wagons, which were badass.

  14. Looking at the straight on view I posted doesn't do them justice, they are pretty looking at them at an oblique angle. I like the 370z, but haven't really liked the body lines since the original 240/260/280s.

No they are ugly to me in just about every way imaginable. Only way to make them look better is seeing them crushed. I think the 370z is hideous in just about every way actually. That's because I don't like the boomerang styling Nissan has taken. The rear of it reminds me more of the 240/280 cars. But overall it's just ehh. And the interior is also pretty bad. But that's all personal taste I guess.
