Bush pig.
over weight and underpowered.
I even have the licence plate.

You can use the stock pathfinder steering box. No worries. Been running mine for 8 years on 38's
-
my rig is for offroad use only i dont drive it daily well i think its gonna work just fine jeje
ok, cool. you should be ok then.
however, if you want to run any larger than a 33" tire, your not going to have enough gear.. example.
to get back to stock ratio with 36" tires, you need to go to 5.38:1
-
question,
I assume your asking this to do a SAS. what tires you running?
-
you guys are not correct.
the difference is only. .98%.
up to 1.5 % is acceptable.
for example, Ford gears. Front Dana 44- 5.38, closest matching gear 5.43 (for the ford 9" in the rear). This has been done for YEARS. I used to run it in my rig.
Run it.
In addtion, with the old fords, quite often you saw a STOCK 9" and D44 combo of 3.5:1 and 3.55:1.
this is .05 in actual ration difference, with what you are talking about is only . 06. (4.56-4.62)

So I've got to ask....u using this for a front axle to complete a SAS? If not and just a rear axle swap BC I seriously doubt a d44 is stronger than the h233b differential
no, a Dana 44 is not as strong as a H233b.

for doing sheet metal that would be fine.
if your going to do any "fab work" you need a 220 machine, but don't get a stick welder if your doing sheet metal and just learning.. VERY difficult.
-
If I went back and did it again it would be straight to SAS so I wouldn't have wasted all the money putting the front end back together every time I went wheeling. I think 87pathy is like me though and wheels hard. If you are careful you can keep the IFS together.
hahah, you have no idea.. i beat on my stuff HARD.

called Ruff country and asked where the hell my heim joints are.
that is all.
-
you can put 4 quarts in these pigs with no issues.
when i change my oil, it gets 4 quarts.
when i have oil pressure i worry, cuase i never do.. the sending unit is bad.
if your lifters were not tapping, don't worry about it.
i bet its a sending unit with a loose wire.
-
I looked at photos of it..BOOOO
-
you can do a cheap SAS with waggy front for close to the same price as a IFS lift.
-
they are not even bolts, they are screws on the valve cover.. they come loose all the time, just snug them up.
-
ordered new hiem joints through out, and new front suspension bushings.
-
if your paying over 50 bucks for a front d30, your getting ripped off.
i find them all day long for under 100.
nobody wants them.
-
the only problem with mike,
is that i have sean him off the trail several times.
He was on the 196? on his side trying to pull his rig back over with a ****** come along all by himself.
Nice enough guy, but.......
-
you guys could run gotcha, main line, and rainier vista (there is a bypass at the top)
any other trails your asking for body damange... maybe gotcha
I know elbe very well.
stay away from alder, and the busywild.

oh, my missunderstanding.
I though he was going to pull a manual tranny and install an auto.
I'll shut up now.
-
quick search on autozone and found them.
-
Ive been interested in doing the Xterra Auto trans swap, when the time comes for a new tranny. I was wondering if anybody knows of any gains or problems with doing this swap. I did notice that the gearing is better for the first 2 gears but remain the same for 3rd and 4th. Are they stronger? Shift better?
Also what is all involved in the swap? I read that you need to lengthen the harness. Do I get to keep my transfer case or do I need the xterra (output spline count)? Is the Xterra Tcase better?
personnally, i wouldn't put an auto in it.. and the likely hood of you needing a new tranny is about ZERO.
for the most part, the nissan manual trannies don't fail.
Min stock manual has over 365k on it.
the nissan autos are not known for being a good tranny.

nice, but 1 problem you are going to have is your slider..
hard to get in the right position, 1 full turn or 3/4 turn on a left right thread setup is ALOT.
I know when i turn mine 1 turn, its out of whack.
-
This ones for my homey..(pors some cheap bear on the ground)
we'll get your rig fixed up. You'll always be remembered.
-
Yeah, but you trimmed your fenders...
B
