  1. My check engine light came on and I'm getting the egr function code 32. I've checked the FSM and will check it out when I get home. I've noticed that the light only comes on when I am not using the A/C. When I'm driving with the A/C on it does not come on. Has anyone else had this problem or know what to look for if the other tests come out ok?
  2. It is possible that the seals have dried out and may have leaked, but you may have to just wait and see after the switch is replaced. How well did it work before? The better condition the system was in before the switch went out the better your chances are that it will still work when you get it fixed.
  3. Your second and third problems sound like a bad fan switch. I had to replace mine recently and it was doing the same thing. The switch had overheated and started to melt, all I had was high speed sometimes. I picked up a new switch from nissan for about $45. It comes in a bag of 9 pieces that you get to assemble and attach to the AC/heater controls. You will need to remove the controls and cables in order to put it together without pieces falling out all over the place.
  4. UNCC, I was just out there Sunday and was very disappointed when I saw what had happened. I was having a bad day and wanted to work out some frustrations and all that did was add to them. Maybe I should get a season pass to Uhwarrie. When's the next run there?
  5. According to the 95 fsm it takes 1.65 - 1.87 lbs of R-134a and 6.8 oz of oil.
  6. In addition to the dogs mentioned in another post we also have a turtle named Randy that we've had for 12 years so far and a couple of albino rats. (yes rats)
  7. Currently we have a miniature dachsund (Rocky) and a border collie/beagle mix (Oreo). Oreo loves to go with my son and I when we hit the trails. He'll sit in the back and stare out the back window on the way there and back, but when it's trail time he'll sit down low with his front legs spread out wide for balance. He doesn't even seem to mind the times he gets air over the rough stuff We also used to have an australian cattle dog but she fell victim to parvo as well. :sniff:
  8. I have a 95XE and both are supposed to be black, but the front one has been polished so many times the paint is about wore off.
  9. :help: I have a 95 XE with an auto transmission. After the transmission shop has rebuilt it twice I still have a problem. Sometimes when driving when I take my foot off the gas pedal the engine rpms will drop down to idle while still in gear. Sometimes it will catch and rpms will go back up where they should be, sometimes it will just coast as if in neutral until I hit the gas again. It happens after it has warmed up and I have been driving a while. I have only noticed this happening when I have the overdrive off. I see this being a major problem if I were trying to slow my descent going down a hill without having to ride my brakes the whole time. Has anyone had or heard of this problem?
  10. We had a similar problem at one shop I was working at, a customer lived on a farm and rats had stuffed his blower motor and air cleaner with dog food. He thought he needed a new blower and couldn't figure out why his car ran so bad.
  11. Sorry about your Pathfinder, it's good to know you're ok tho.
  12. kruddy, check your transmission wiring harness. Same thing happened to me last weekend. My wiring harness fell down on the exhaust manifold and melted through the insulation causing a wire to short out on the manifold.
