Yeah it is short notice... Both parks are 150+ miles away. I can still get there sooner than I can LI though. LOL.... They both have noob tours... Has anyone gone on something like that, it's like a guided thing.
-
Shall I rephrase that then... PA is nothing at 70 miles. LI I have to drive through the city to get to. The thought of that alone, makes that 70 miles seem like 150. Count in the LIE is forever in a JAM, add another hour. So, while it would take me 70 minutes to drive 70 miles to PA. Driving to Long Island, only 70 miles away would take me anywhere from 3+ hours an up. Frustration is what I would get from goint to the island... LOL.. I would drive more than 70 though and would gladly drive to PA. I almost bought a house in PA once. In the Poconos to be exact. Thanks for the info man... This will be the Summer of the busted cherry.

That's because you are in Brooklyn, no? You can definitely pretend though. I wish, Island is too far for me. I think it's like 70 miles. The UNYX though looks cool. I just joined up and introduced myself. Looking through trail pics and stuff. Saw your truck there and its progression from the day you bought it. Nice. Thanks for the tip and I will look forward to hopefully learn the ropes and wheel with them.

Well, I have officially had the Pathy for roughly 5 months. The only dirt it has seen its a gravel road made for ATV's. Went about a mile in and turned around. I live in the Town of Poughkeepsie in upstate NY and really need to bust my Pathy's cherry. I busted mine in the Military with the Fox and the Humvee (the real thing). Fox Pic So basically what I'm asking is., How do I go about busting my pathy's cherry, its thirsting for dirt. But I have no idea where to go... How to start...

1 day later is totally the shop's responsibility. If you lived in the NY Metro area I would recommend a place that did the same thing for me on a 91 Caravan I used to own. 1 week later, it just gave out on me. They paid the tow back and fixed free of charge. Tranny died 4 months later again and I junked it for $50 bucks...

Well, I have my 01 and love it. I really, really wanted a 4Runner when I was shopping for an SUV mainly because I love Toyo. I started looking at the Pathfinder and never looked back. I wanted a 2000+ vehicle. When I was looking at the 4runners, you were talking about 15k+ for it and mostly high mileage. I got an 01 Pathy for under 12k with 68k miles. My brother in law has a 91 Pathfinder which just broke 200k miles and it is still going very strong. Original Tranny, still shifts like a dream.

That truck just took a hell of a beating. And thanks for the info... I have seen pictures of Terranos that look exactly like the Pathy. Just with the Diesel engine, great on gas I bet...
-
Just talking to a cousin of mine in the Dominican Republic and he tells me he bought a Nissan Terrano. He says its the same Pathfinder but a 4Cyl Diesel. Is the Terrano really like the Pathfinder? I have read in my searches here and people refer to it like it is... Check on google and the images don't really seem that similar to tha Pathy. You guys wanna shed some light on similarities and differences.

This is enough to pull me away... I will leave it be. The current intake is fine by me. Only reason I thought about it was because I thought I would get a performance boost and better mpg for it. But if that is not the case, than on to the next mod. That is money I can put towards tires. Need to get those AT's before the winter gets here. Better yet, before I start going camping LOL....

I think I am about ready to give up on my 95 SE
rmd0311 replied to zack1978's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Well., I have a an 01 with 71k miles... A baby... In the last two weeks I needed an alignment, rotation and balance to the tune of $130 if I remember correctly. I also had to change a sensor, the VTC sensor another $230. My exhaust rusted off from the CAT back another $500... (I went performance mainly because would have been more expensive, the advantages I saw later). Same week after all this, I get into a fender bender and have to get my bumper repaired. Can't drive around with a black eye, that was another $325. All this in a week's time. It hurt like hell but it's part of ownership I guess. Still trust her and today even more. The car I hit unlike mine had $2600 in repairs, same shop. -
Mines was mandatory too... The old one rusted off.

My truck has General Grabber ST... Another inexpensive brand and they SUCK. Their traction is terrible, just waiting for Sept, October and will put in some Revo's.

That's a tuff one... But sometimes you spend money even if the truck is newer. Do you still trust the truck? I think that is the point for me. Trusting that your vehicle will not leave you stranded somewhere. I had a 98 Accord. The B$%#tch left me stranded twice and I dumped it. I could have fixed it and did fix some things, but at the end of the day. It's all about trust. Although, with 166000 you are pushing the envelope. -
Just heard back from the dealer and it was a correct assumption. The front two wheels where out of balance.
-
COuld the light be tripped if the sensor is disconnected in any way... I got into a fender bender and had bumper fixed over the weekend. They had to take the bumper off and disconnect some things to do so. I figure they have have disconnnected it and that is why this happened. Just a thought.
-
Just called the dealer and here is they're explanation... Dealer: Well, sometime when you put the weighs in, they fall off. Come back and we'll check the balance and see if it's off. So... There you go...
-
Well, it started happening after the dealer Rotated, Balanced and Aligned the tires. Before that, i was fine. CL?
-
So, Last week, I aligned, balanced and rotated (not precisely in that order) my tires. After this I have noticed some trembling or shaking on the steering wheel at high speeds. High speeds being anything above 60. It's not a violent tremble/shaking. You could hardly see it if looking at the steering wheel, but you can definitely feel it. Could it be the tires or just a bad alignment/balance job? Let me know what ya'll think. Calling the dealer tomorrow. They are the ones that did it and will have them recheck.

Alright this Service Engine Soon light is really getting to me... I have had the truck for 4 months now and have thus far loved it... The SES light just came on again for the third time. This time its p0110. P0110 is Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Anyone ever have this one? I just did my exhaust? Hopefully it will have nothing to do with that. As always I just turned it off, see if it comes back. The light before that was the right Variable Timing Control Sensor, dealer replaced. The one before that was CAT Below Threshold, dealer fixed under warranty. Ideas, thoughts?

Pezzy., Where did you get your front bumper, and how much? I think those bumpers look hot... Though about a Grille Guard., But would rather do that bumber with that bull bar in the front. Please do share. -
Mines turned out to be the exhaust banging on the tow hitch. Just an FYI.
-
As long as you are fine the rest is crap... 2 Pathy's in one day... That sucks... I got into a fender bender on thursday. Well Fender-Bender for me, accident for the Lexus I HIT. (totally my fault)... I make another thread when I get home sunday and post pictures of the damage.
-
Similar to me... Mines is no where near as sweet as yours. It's just a stocky. But I almost sold it and went as far as putting it on Cars.com. But LOVE it... Can't sell it.
