sw, So I take it you do not recommend changing the filter for fear getting the engine dirtier sooner.
-
Well, I know mines is totally different, but maybe not. I have an 01 and it has 2 CATS. I one each side of the vehicle.

Hey all, I recently did my exhaust and love the way it sounds so much that I want to go ahead and do the intake too. I was thinking the K&N Intake. If you have it... Did you get an mpg boost? How much was the performance boost? What do ya'll think in general? Is there a better brand for the 3.5L? Link to K&N Intake

Yeah., it looks hot...
-
Definitely, I was skeptical... But as soon as I got in and took off I felt it. Alot easier to take off, alot easier to maintain certain speeds when going up hill. Definitely better.
-
Great shop... Really felt confident in the work being done.
-
I did not have a choice. The old one was completely broken off. A bump and the whole thing move and around and sounded like it was falling to pieces. It's a one man shop so whaever you do you have to schedule. C'S Auto Custom Exhaust 8 Commerce Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 (845) 452-6214 That is a ways to go, but I am very happy with the price, service and final outcome.

Nah, navygz19... That does look weird... Spinners on a Pathy, WTH.
-
Here are pictures so you can see it and a video so you can hear it. Here is the Movie clip for the sound... Link to Movie It was $500 flat from the cat back Stainless steal, soldered not clamped with a FLowmaster 50.

I once had 6 adults in the main seating area, 2 front, 4 back... then two big ones in the trunk area... The two in the cargo area probably weighed a combined 500 and change. Drove 30 miles, no problems.

I know a couple of descent places in the Bronx which is where I used to live. You would need to deal with the language barrier though as most of them are all spanish speaking folks.
-
I'm in Poughkeepsie... It's about 65 miles from the city. I actually do work in Manhattan though...
-
So I went to a custom shop recommended to me by a neighbor. He gave me two pricing options: Aluminum: $350 muffler and all work included... Stainless Steel: $460 again everything included. He charges $50 more if I want it to be welded on instead of clamped on. Shooting more for the weld and shooting more for the SS. Thoughts? I think the pricing is fair. And considering that if I do not take this pricing I will have to drive to the city to try and get better pricing at the cost of ($30+)... I will jump on it. Also remember, Meineke wants 457 for stock. Monro 800 and the dealer well you know the deal there. Going to drop it off for the day... Laterz...
-
Venge, Spoke to Monro today and they are so thieving individuals. Thanks for the heads up. I'll go to the dealer before I go to Monro with that pricing. They wanted $800 for a stock non-OEM setup.
-
Seems clear enough to me that I will not be going with any chain. Their pricing is just ridiculous. Monro - $800 Meineke - $457 I will be going to this local small shop by me called C'S Auto Custom Exhaust. They sound descent over the phone but want to get an idea of what pricing I should expect. After a lot of reading I think the 2.5" Aluminized from the cat back with a flowmaster 40. I want to make sure that when he gives me a pricing I can tell if its fair or not.
-
Was just about to ask the same thing? Why?
-
I'm gonna call around tomorrow. I think this should be something I can get a price off over the phone. Exhaust from the CAT Back. Yes/No?
-
Scorpian all the way...
-
Is there one that I can put that will increase performance in any way?
-
So, For those of you you read my last topic. This one is for the exhaust alone. It will have to be changed on my 01 Pathfinder SE. From the CAT back.. so just the back part. Where it connects to the other part is completely rusted out and broken. Took it to a local shop today and they said we could try and fix it... But no gurantees. I think I should just get a new one and get it over with. Any recommendations?
-
Why not change for the sake of changing??? I change my oil religiously every 3000-3500 miles. Filter and Oil... No need to skimp on your engine for a few bucks.
-
I did not even know this could be done....
-
How much is that US???
